The house sits in its own grounds of more than 11 acres in a Conservation Area on the edge of the village of Wickwar in South Gloucestershire. The village itself has a local pub, a newsagents, a Spar / Post Office and Playing Fields. More amenities can be found in Wotton-Under-Edge just 3 miles away. The City of Bath is only 12 miles away and Bristol just 15 miles and Cheltenham 30 miles, all of which have great regional theatres, a variety of festivals as well as many other visitor attractions. More locally the places to visit include Westonbirt Arboretum, Berkely Castle, Thornbury Castle, Highgrove, Sudeley Castle, Castle Combe, Dryham Park to name but a few. In addition of course there are many wonderful Woodland walks in areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty, & Lower Woods is the largest Gloucestershire Wildlife Trust nature reserve, and one of the largest woodlands in the county. Golf, riding, mountain biking & fishing. Badminton & Gatcombe Horse Trials & Cheltenham Races.
