Description
The 2-bedroom apartment can sleep 4. There are spacious living room with sea views and balcony, fully fitted modern kitchen, bathroom, en-suite unit and separate WC. Other facilities include a shared garden, storage for bicycles and surf boards and parking space for two cars. The house is situated on the headland overlooking Woolacombe and the stunning coast towards Lundy Island.
The small balcony is equipped with chairs. There are shared lawned gardens at the side and rear of property.
Woolacombe beach is just ten min. walk down the hill or a couple of minutes away by car. Putsborough and Croyde beaches are 10 min. ride away. Ilfracombe (rocky cove beaches, great for rock pooling) is ten minutes away, while the Saunton beach is just 15 min drive. There are many stunning coastal footpaths nearby. Guests should try coastal boat trips from Ilfracombe harbour to Lundy Island.
Nearby golf courses are at Ilfracombe, Saunton, Westward Ho! The nearest airport is at Exeter, which is 45 miles away. The nearest train station is at Barnstaple (15 miles). Hiring a car is recommended to get to the property, but it is not essential during one’s stay.
Nearby villages and attractions include Woolacombe (1/4 mile), Mortehoe (1 mile), Ilfracombe (3 miles), Croyde (4 miles), Barnstaple (15 miles), Braunton (6 miles) and Exmoor National Park (6 miles).
There are great bars, bistros and restaurants at Woolacombe. There are also small grocery stores, pharmacies, post office, newspaper shops, banks and a large selection of gift shops and stores selling beach equipment. There are surfing lessons and kayak packages available. All types of take-away foods, pasties, fish, Chinese foods and pizzas are also available. The nearest supermarkets are at Braunton and Ilfracombe.
