Description
Villa in Alma Verde Village has four bedrooms comfortably sleep twelve guests. The villa has a private pool and vista views.
A beautifully appointed villa in this award winning development. Occupying a prime location with uninterrupted country views and being one of the earliest completed properties, it is peaceful and isn't close to any on-going construction work. The villa has been designed with child safety in mind. Unlike so many villas, the French doors do not let directly on to the pool - but on to a large enclosed terrace with dining table and BBQ, from which the gated pool is accessed. The heated pool is shallow at both ends and has a safety net fitted for absolute peace of mind (see photograph). A DVD of this net being fitted is provided. Furthermore, we have fitted additional gates on to the terrace preventing access to the front of the villa and the road - allowing parents time to relax. The kitchen lets on to a large open plan living room with a wall mounted LCD SKY TV and DVD. There is a stereo and French doors on to the back terrace with a further table and chairs.
There is also an electric blow up bed and a wall safe.
The Mezzanine level of the villa has a large dining table which doubles as a table tennis table and lets on to a lovely south facing sun terrace overlooking the terrace and pool and has splendid vista views beyond.
All towels and linen are included but beach and pool towels are not. The linen and towels are changed once a week.
The villa has been fitted and designed with children in mind and particularly their safety. The swimming pool is cordoned off with locked balustrades and in addition we have installed a nylon 'katchakid' net that fits over the pool for parent's absolute peace of mind and the pool is heated for year round accessibility. Following customer feedback, we have recently added two further gates to cordon off the garden dining terrace from the pool area - and this also prevents children from getting access to the front of the villa and to the road. The mezzanine level of the villa is fitted with a stair gate also. A range of family board games and books are also provided, and there is a comprehensive manual for visitors about where to visit and which restaurants that we recommend.

Coast/Beach Concerning beaches, 'spoilt for choice' is a cliche that genuinely applies because stunning coves with child friendly beaches dot the coastline of the Western Algrave. The charming fishing village of Burgau is a mile away and has lovely beach bars serving grilled fish and other traditional Portuguese dishes. A little further along is Salema but for the more adventurous, the fort town of Sagres (the end of Europe) and the west coast with the crashing Atlantic is a favourite for surfers. Golf Parque Da Floresta and Boa Vista are two superb golf courses very close to Alma Verde. Both courses are very friendly and welcoming to pay and play visitors. For Parque Da Floresta, it sometimes helps to have one leg shorter than the other and for Boa Vista, a water ball retriever is a good idea. In addition, there are four other courses within short driving distance from the villa.

Directions
Faro airport serves the Algarve and with the newly opened motorway is now little over an hour and twenty minutes from Alma Verde.
Car hire is essential and strong competition at the airport keeps their rates very competitive.
