This is arguably the best location for a vacation in England. Within walking distance are some of the iconic sights of London.
The apartment is located at a World Heritage site which is the centre of cultural life in London. Both the National Portrait Gallery and the English National Opera are within fifty metres of the entrance. Trafalgar Square is 100 metres from the same.
The apartment has views down into the square looking past St Martins in the Fields Church.
The National Gallery has an excellent restaurant. You can start your day with one of their traditional English breakfasts or visit their Patisserie. St Martins in the Field church with its Crypt restaurant is fifty metres away. Walk across Trafalgar Square, which is 100 metres from your apartment main entrance, to Horseguards and watch the changing of the guard of that name. A little further takes you to Westminster Abbey and the Houses of Parliament. From there, catch a riverboat to Greenwich and tour the Maritime Museum and Greenwich Observatory.
If you like shopping, the bottom of Regent Street is five minutes walk through Leicester Square and Piccadilly. Oxford Street is a 5 – 10 minute walk from there, depending on distractions.
Pall Mall and St James are five minutes away. Visit Fortnum & Mason, Dunhill and the famous Gentlemens outfitters in that area. Try the Ritz for afternoon tea, but book well in advance, and then stroll slowly back to the apartment for a rest before the theatre. If you like, drop in to the National Gallery and view the world famous collections there. Entrance is free.
Theatre land and numerous high quality restaurants surround you. The world famous Opera House at Covent Garden is a five minute walk. The Covent Garden Area is a destination in its own right with street artists, restaurants and shops.
