Beautiful traditionally constructed wooden chalet set in an area of amazing peace and quiet. South facing ad overlooking a private forest. Just 10 mins mostly level walk from Gryon station and the delightful historic village of Gryon.
Chalet has large living room with open fireplace, and new well equipped open plan kitchen. Huge SW facing terrace. Three of the four bedrooms have large South facing balconies with stunning views. Large garden and plenty of off road parking.
Sleeps 8 in 4 good sized bedrooms. Oil fired central heating included in rental price. Electricity charged as used. WI-Fi internet available.
A wonderful lakeside and mountain climate, come here for the sunshine, the pure mountain air, the peace and natural beauty, culture and friendliness of the local population.
The whole Lake Geneva area, including France, has so many activities, cultures and languages to choose from, and is a holiday dream land. And there is easy access to other alpine, valley and lake regions including high altitude glaciers.
Regular rail and bus access without a car. Gryon is 14 km / 20 minutes by car above the valley. Down in the valley : Chillon and Aigle castles, Bex salt mines, thermal baths, golf-courses, nature reserves, vineyards, amusement and aquatic parks, lake Geneva paddle steamers, Europe' biggest steam model railway park, the world famous Montreux Jazz festival, International art galleries, other ski stations and mountain rack and museums, railways, aerodrome for altitude gliding.
Easy access (10-15 min walk) from Gryon station, so car not essential.
Villars is a winter ski resort and in summer a spectacular holiday destination in the Swiss Alps. Located in the Lake Geneva tourist region of Switzerland so very convenient for Geneva airport and the lakeside towns of Lausanne and Montreux.
Gryon is a tranquil historic mountain village with narrow winding streets, lots of old world charm and traditional 18th century architecture.
