Engleberg is situated close to the centre of Ventnor, a lovely Victorian town, which has retained much of its historical character. The accommodation is 5 minutes walk to the beach. Apart from the beach there are many attractions within walking distance including the Botanical Gardens, park, tennis courts, cricket ground and golf club. There are numerous pubs and restaurants within easy walking distance. The Isle of Wight is a diamond shaped island in the English Channel 5 miles from the South Coast of England. It has 92km of coastline and half the island is designated as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. It is the ideal place for a holiday with a mild climate and fantastic unspoilt scenery.There are two bedrooms with a double bed in one and two single beds in the other. The lounge/dining room is comfortably furnished with colour TV and DVD. There is a spacious bathroom. A well equipped kitchen with gas cooker and washer/dryer. It was rated as 4 stars by Visit Britain when last inspected..
The nature of the apartment, with its light soft furnishings, makes it unsuitable for young children; consequently we do not take children under 8 years old.

The fantastic apartment
This fantastic apartment is owned by charming Mary and Mark. A lot of thanks to them.
5 days spent by my family at their apartment were a real groove. The apartment is of very high quality, very comfortable and cosy. It is located conveniently for both a leisure and an active exploration of Wight. It is deservedly rated as 4 stars by Visit Britain, but Mary and Mark are its true the fifth star.
I do express them my thanks for cordiality, hospitality and considerable assistance. The words of my daughter "I want to spend one more week at Engleberg apartment in summer" illustrate her and all my famly's impression of the apartment best of all.

Awesome apartment. Kitted out with everything you could think of and more. Views are spectacular....the list is endless.
Perfect base for covering the whole island with lovely owners to boot.
We had a great time and now miss watching all the passing boats from the bedroom window and the beautiful sun sets across the sea.
Would highly recommend this apartment to stay in. Thanks so much!
Fantastic holiday with fantastic accommodation.
1st class apartment with excellent hospitality,the internet gives you a taster but nothing beats the real thing.My wife & two girls absolutely loved the home from home feeling which you get from this apartment.We would definitely recommend too family & friends & have already booked for next year.Thanks goes out to Mary & Mark who were great with even the most trivial thing not too much trouble.
Definitely go to the Spyglass Inn,great food & drink at reasonable prices,we ate their most nights.
Shanklin also worth a visit.
If you like body boarding/surfing visit Compton Bay maybe via the needles.
Holiday Home
I would recommend this property to couples or families with teenage children. The accommodation and its furnishings and decorations are of a high standard, it is spotlessly clean and well presented and the owners are helpful without being obtrusive.
My wife & I had a very enjoyable stay and would definitely return.

My friend and i thought that this apartment was fantastic . What you see in the photo's of the apartment is what it is like the only word i can describe it as is LUSH .Thee veiw during the day is fantastic and at night the stars are beautiful so peaceful.
