Charming two bedroom apartment with wonderful views

Bayview is a quiet haven from the pressures of modern life with fine views over Ventnor's harbor and blue flag beach, which is only two minutes walk away. The shops in the town are even closer, with freshly caught fish, crab and lobster available daily from the harbor fishery. The apartment is on a private road with a dedicated parking space directly outside.

This modern and comfortable apartment has two bedrooms, a double and a twin, and sleeps up to four people. The light and airy living, dining and kitchen area is at the front of the building overlooking the sea and the double bedroom has a view of the highest point of the island, St Boniface Down immediately behind the town. Bayview has been recently renovated and is the top floor of historic "Millers Rock", a converted Victorian period villa in one of the best know streets in the town, Alexandra Gardens, which stands on the site of the original Ventnor Mill and Pond, dating back at least as far as 1300.

Within ten minutes walk there are numerous pubs, cafes, bars and restaurants. These include the only Michelin starred restaurant on the island, the Hambrough about one hundred yards away, and the Royal Hotel which has two AA Rosettes for its food.

Spectacular coastal walks can also be enjoyed from here, to Bonchurch, the under cliff and Shanklin in the east and to the lovely Steephill Cove and the renowned Botanical Gardens to the West. Outdoor pursuits include walking, cycling, riding, golf and water sports.

Ventnor is a charming Victorian spa town built on the sheltered under cliff on the Isle of Wight's south coast and dominated by the island's highest point, St Boniface Down. Known to the Victorians as "England's Madeira", the town is noted for its sunny summers and mild winters.

Bayview is available all year round - for whole weeks in season and for short or weekend breaks and whole weeks outside the main season.

Because of the entry steps and stairs to the apartment, which is on the second floor, the apartment is not suitable for immobile disabled and we regret that pets cannot be accommodated. Bayview is a no smoking apartment. Gas and electricity together with bed linen and towels are included. There is gas central heating throughout the apartment. All rooms have doors onto the central hallway; no rooms are accessed through other rooms.

The whole of the front of apartment, overlooking the harbor and beach, is taken up with a living / dining / kitchen room with a modern laminate floor

Living area: two comfortable armchairs, a two seater settee, flat screen TV with DVD player, satellite receiver, DVDs and games.

Dining area: Glass topped table and four chairs. Crockery, cutlery and glasses for four people.

Kitchen area: Gas hob, electric oven and grill, built in fridge with frozen food compartment, microwave cooker, toaster, washer dryer, cooking implements, pots and pans. An iron and ironing board are kept in the hallway.

The apartment is on a private road and has a dedicated parking space directly outside. From the front door at ground level there is a lovely gothic style carpeted carved staircase to the second floor.
