What can you say about Slovenia - scenery, people, value - one of the best destinations for us, we'll be back !
Initially the remoteness of the chalet was of concern, but after 1 day we realised how privileged we were to stay here and enjoyed the tranquility beyond words.

Amazing breakfast on terrace
The property was very clean, homely and well equipment. We will recommend it to our friends absolutely. We were fascinated by view from the terrace every morning during our breakfast. We took a lot of trips in Slovenia. We have been in cave "Škocjanska jama" (UNESCO), in mountains (Velka Planina is near ant it is amazing), in Ljubljana and by the sea too. We spend very nice time in Slovenia.

Good facilities, well located in pleasant area
Overall very well equipped property, pretty good on space and in excellent location. Owners very helpful in correspondence and responded promply to our one problem that required their help. Unless people like the heat, the downstairs sleeping area was more appropriate for august but this had easily enough room for the 4 of us. Appreciated BBQ and outside area as well as local amenities and generally well located to get onto motorway network for longer trips to places like Lake Bled, Venice, the mountains, the caves or the coast.

Beautiful Surroundings
A beautifully sited chalet in wonderful surroundings greeted us. It was excellently equipped in every aspect and proved to be a first class centre for touring Slovenia.The desciption was totally fair and accurate. We found the property to be idyllic but as stated in the description is not suitable for those with mobility difficulties.

Since booking the chalet you were the epitome of helpfulness, the chalet is wonderful (do you want to sell it ?). Our party of 4 had a really special time.
New Years Eve: Go into town (Kamnik), the atmosphere and fireworks were something else. We ate at the Hong Kong Chinese (portion control isn't enforced), if there is 2 of you order 1 main meal. The food was very good.
Krvavec Ski Resort: was excellent. From nursery slopes to aaaah slopes, thoroughly enjoyed it, even though we went home with more bruises than we came with !

Slovenia holiday
The chalet was totally superb and made the perfect base to explore Slovenia from. There was everything i could have possibly needed in the property, making it very easy to stay in.

Wonderful holiday in a nice alpine chalet
A charming typical alpine chalet with a wonderful sunny veranda. Beside the good equipment of the house there are also additional things like games for children and guides for hikes in the mountains which makes the holiday very pleasantly. We got some tourist information about Kamnik and the area before the visit, which is also a very nice service.

The location is around the middle of Slowenia and therefore a good base for excursions, e.g. Ljubljana, the mountains and differnt lakes. Especially the caves Škocjanske Jame (very big subterrain canyon, 1:30h with the car) and Postojnska Jama (many big stalactites and stalagmites, 1:00h with the car) are very spectacular and worth seeing them.

The 2 weeks holiday passed so fast and were so nice that our son at the end feels very sad when we had to leave. We can absolutely recommend the house.

We had a great time - the cottage is perfect for visiting loads of different places and Kamnik is a great town to be located close to.

Fantastic family holiday!
We have holidayed in Slovenia in the North West but we were looking for a more central location this time. We were not disappointed. We stayed for two weeks and managed to go as far South as Portoroz(2 hours away) and as far North as Kranjska Gora (1 and 1/2 hours away) on separate days. We managed to see lots of Slovenia that we missed before thanks to the great central location of this chalet.
We have two young kids and they enjoyed their holiday just as much as we did. There are toys in the chalet that they were able to play with (both indoors and outdoors) while they were waiting on dinner getting ready.
We had a fantastic holiday and we will definitely return to Slovenia in the near future - no hesitation!

I had no idea what to expect from Slovenia and have to say I was incredibly impressed. The Chalet is in a wonderful location with unbelievable views and is immaculately maintained. Being centrally located for so many sites allowed us to visit historical Ljubljana, an easy train ride away, Lakes Bled and Bohijn and the Velika Planina mountain and snow fields in 3 days! The locals were all very friendly and helpful and having only two words of Slovenian did not restrict my enjoyment in the least. Will be back! Thank you Mark and Trish.

Great Holiday!!
This was our first experience of a "winter" holiday and what a great holiday it was. We spent many days at the local ski resort (Velika Planina) with our young son enjoying the sledging while we were learning to ski, although I think we may have to come back soon for more lessons ! The area was ideal for beginners like us and not too busy.
The facilities in the chalet were superb and we enjoyed plenty of cosy nights in front of the fire. The chalet was well equipped with everythng you could need.
The view from the chalet of the New Year's eve fireworks in the valley have to be seen to be believed, it was amazing.
All in all, a great trip and will definately return soon.

Beautiful Country
What a lovely chalet in a most beautiful part of the world! We’ve had a wonderful time doing a mixture of just relaxing on the balcony reading and sipping coffee or wine, and seeing some of the fascinating sights around Slovenia.
- Kamnik itself is a delightful town, especially the old part – fun to wonder around and look at the decorated buildings.
- Lake Bled and lake Bohinj a great drive and both beautiful in different ways.
- Loved the drive to Logarska Dolina with the fabulous mountain views and charming old villages – what a lot of churches!
- Also loved Ljubljana – fascinating old town with beautiful bridges and squares, amazing fruit and flower market on Saturdays.
- Food highlights were mushroom soup and gnocchi in truffle sauce, and burek at the cafe in Kamnik near the market.

This has been a memorable and fantastic stay in a lovely country, we’ll be back and would definitely recommend your chalet.

Lovely holiday
We loved it, found the chalet to be comfortable and fun. The village is delightful and the people we met very friendly especially the children and the farmer with the kittens and horses.
Velika Planina is lovely as is the waterfall at Kamniska Bistrica, further afield Skocjan caves, lake Bled and lake Bohinj were a joy to experience. As recommended, the restaurant in Stahovica is delightful – try the wild goat.
Overall we have had a lovely holiday and feel very refreshed and happy, thankyou.

Fantastic view
Waking up and seeing the stunning views every morning was perfect. The chalet had everything we needed for a brilliant holiday, we cant think of anything else that could improve it. Slovenia was a beautiful country with friendly helpful people what more could you possibly want from a holiday destination!

Perfect Holiday
Absolutely perfect. Chalet is really wonderfull. Clean and very well equiped in a spectacular location. We made very good use of the patio furniture and umbrellas as weather was very hot. Also made good use of brilliant barbeque. Some lovely places to visit and information leaflets and books in chalet were very helpful.
Italian resturant in Kamnik is a must to visit as is the ice cream parlour accross the road.
Lovely friendly dog called Jack made regular visits.
We will definitely be back.

A good place to hide, relax and sports
The chalet was perfectly clean, absoultly fully equipped (the owners even provided a baby bed for us) and every thing was prepared on our arrival (outside lights on, linen on the beds etc.). One should be aware, that the stairs down and up are more like a ladder - but one gets used to it.
The chalet is easy to find with the driving directions and has a truely wonderful view from the terrasse. The location is central to all attractions however you always need the car to go anywhere. It is not much to explore directly from the house and one should not be afraid of dogs because when you walk through the small hamlets, almost every house has big dog which is not in every case used to hikers.
The region itself is very beautiful and definitly not overcrowded by tourists.

This chalet is everything it says it is and lots more. It had everything you could want, the information provided at the chalet and on the website was fantastic and the owners had someone to check to make sure everything was ok.
Booking and payment was really easy. We had the best time, the location is perfect. I can't think of a single way to improve the property. I would recommend it to friends. I just wish I could go there more often. The local attractions and restaurants suggested were just magic.

Had a great holiday. The chalet was superb and in the most amazing surroundings, couldn't fault it. It was our first visit to Slovenia and we'll definately be back - hopefully in your chalet. We'd recommend the cable car further up the valley to get you into some excellent walking territory (without the big walk up !). We also tried paragliding which was a real buzz.

Unbeatable scenery
The chlet and the scenery are unbeatable. We have enjoyed our trips around Slovenia as much as the cosy and comfortable times at "home", because that is the way we felt here.
