Description

Acabanes is full of charm and character, yet modernised to high standards with extensive facillities and situated in a quiet location on the side of a gentle hill with lovely south facing views over the surrounding rolling countryside and vineyards. This luxury villa has been designed and equipped for outdoor living, with a large (11x5m) superb heated pool with retractable cover, which means it can be used as an indoor/outdoor pool. The covered tiled terrace is ideal for BBQs, with table and chairs provided for 'al fresco' dining or just simply enjoying the views.

Pool and Terraces: The pool and terraces have been designed to produce maximum space for guests whilst maximising individual space. The 11x5m pool is surrounded by a very large sheltered terrace. The pool is fitted with a retractable telescopic pool cover. Solar heated shower adjacent to the swimming pool. There are 5 terraces; a 5x4mterrace outside the downstairs master bedroom; a 6x4m terrace outside the other downstairs bedroom with an inlaid giant chess board; in between these two terraces and underneath the large balcony is timber deck with a swinging bench. A 4x3m first floor balcony faces west and is an ideal point to watch the swimming pool and view the stunning sun sets. Atmospheric lighting throughout enables the pool and terrace to be used late into the evening. The gardens extend to over 3 acres with a fenced lower garden of 2 acres. Basketball, trampoline, play area, football goals, sand pit and boules are available also 6 adult Rayleigh bikes; 2 children’s bikes and a trailer bike. On this ground floor are 2 bedrooms with enuite shower rooms.

Downstairs: The focal point of the barn is a large sitting room 9m x 8m which is open to a timbered 'cathedral' ceiling and a large mezzanine area. This room is full of character with the original stone walls and tiled floors. Located within the lounge is an entertainment area which includes a 50in HD plasma TV connected to a DVD and VCR. A championship pool table is also in the lounge area. The kitchen and dining area leads from the sitting room. The kitchen is 9m x 4m with beamed ceilings, tiled floors and oak fitted units. It also has a large gas oven and hob, microwave oven, dishwasher, washing machine and fridge. The dining area in the kitchen can comfortably accommodate 6 to 14 people. The kitchen opens, through French doors, onto a partly covered tiled terrace. There is a BBQ, table and chairs on the terrace ideal for 'al fresco' dining. Downstairs the two large bedrooms both have adjacent en-suite shower rooms, with exposed stone walls, beamed ceilings and tiled floors and doors to terrace

Upstairs: located here are two family bedroom suites with exposed stone walls, beamed ceilings and wooden floors. Each suite has a master bedroom with a superking bed and a single bed, a smaller childrens room and an enuite bathroom. WOW Holiday Heaven , Idyllic location
Acabanes is a holiday for everyone, we have stayed here since the present owners bought it, and every year stay here, or their other house,La Grange, according to the size of our group.Sometimes we visit more than once, out of season, taking advantage of the special offers when they are available.I have swam in the pool all the time, even in October as we have had lovely, sunny warm days.

We love the Dordogne, and have visited every year for many years,and now it is so great to have such super Villas, and know we will have such a lovely time.

Love the upstairs terrace, having an aperitif watching the sunset.

The grounds are great, loads of room for the kids to play, I love to have breakfast on the small side terrace outside the kitchen door as it gets the morning sun.

When in a group, we have great fun with "pool competitions",indoors and out !!!!

Lots of good restaurants ,we like, in an adult group, Ma Maison.Madame Moutier, just down the road, is not to be missed. There is a really family friendly Italian Restaurant/Pizzeria, in the Square at Eymet. Eymet Market on Thursday morning is super.

Lots to do in the area, so, if you want to venture afield, you wont get bored.

If you want a holiday where the accommodation and facilities meet everyone's needs, (mum, dad, kids and grandparents) then this is the place for you. Everything you could possibly want is here and all maintained to a very high standard.
When we come here we know we can expect a relaxing and refreshing holiday, from the welcome pack on arrival to all the information about what to do in the local area.......if you do feel the need to explore further! Well, maybe a vineyard or two!

"Simply the Best"
The title says it all, we had a wonderful time here on a family holiday.A large group all ages, I agree with another reviewer, everyone is catered for here, and, as we all know, if the kids are happy so are the parents !!! But, seriously, this Holiday Home lscks for nothing, and the facilities are too numerous to mention.
We loved the pool area, wonderful, and and the children loved the play area as well. The cycles were well used, the winding lanes perfect for exploring the countryside.

Hope we can return again.

Found our perfect villa for a perfect holiday !
Yes, as, other people have said, on the reviews and guest comments, this villa really does cater for everyone, and is also large enough to find quiet corners for reading etc, if you wish to.

Is had been equipped to a very high standard, and when we arrived, and opened the doors, the WoW factor was immediately there.

We greatly appreciated the welcome pack, and lost no time cracking open the wine and exploring, not sure what to do first, unpack or chill round the pool, guess what won!

A perfect place to unwind, chill, swim , etc. and a great base for exploring the area, if you can actually tear yourselves away, the choice is yours !!!!!!!1
