We live in Florida, this is our Sydney home. We will be visiting it at least once every year. It is a wonderful location to access all of central Sydney's attractions.
The apartment is 5 years old and spacious (110 square meters - almost 1200 sq ft). All furnishings are new as of 2008. There are two balconies, one accessible from the living area, the other accessible from both bedrooms. The master bedroom complex has a very comfortable USA king-size bed, a walk in closet and a bathroom with a walk-in shower. The second bedroom has two large single beds and ample wardrobe space. The second bathroom has a tub/shower combination. There is a laundry sink adjacent to the washing machine.
The kitchen opens into the living and dining area. Two people can comfortably work in the kitchen area together. All of the major appliances (washer, dryer, oven, cook top, microwave and dishwasher) are Miele. The counter tops are granite. The kitchen is fully equipped to service 6 people. The dining table with its 6 chairs is adjacent to the kitchen. The living room has a very comfortable sofa and two armchairs. Also in the living room there is a 32 inch flat screen TV, a DVD player and a stereo system (with CD, tape player and radio). A small table is available for your laptop usage. There is a broadband internet connection and a regular landline phone. The internet router offers wireless laptop connections and connections for your internet phone.
The apartment has central air conditioning and is located on the sixth floor of an attractive building completed in 2002. Access is by lift and the building security is very complete. The building is located on a side street and traffic noise is almost non-existent. Additionally, with concrete floors and ceiling soundproofing, noise from other units is rare.
The Sydney casino (Star City) is less than 2 minutes from our building and the Casino's Light Rail station and bus stop are the closest public transportation locations. However, with this superb location, it is possible to walk to all of the central Sydney attractions. Darling Harbour, with its museums, the sea aquarium, the IMAX theatre, indoor shopping mall, ferry connection to Circular Quay and dozens of sidewalk restaurants is an 8 minute walk. Circular Quay, the Botanical Gardens, the Opera House and the Harbour Bridge are a 25 minute walk.
There are 2 good supermarkets within a 5 minute walk of our building and there are at least half a dozen eating places closer than the Darling Harbour restaurants.
If our apartment is of interest, please check our calendar for availability. Also, please note that, while we will accept 5 and 6 people, we will not accept more than 4 adults. There is an additional charge for use of the blowup beds for the 5th and 6th persons.
