Our chalet has 2 decking areas. The West-facing deck enjoys the rising sun over Kreischberg, whilst the rear, South-facing decking is bathed in sunlight all day. The garden at the rear of the chalet provides more outside space, perfect for summer BBQ's!
Having entered via the rear porch, guests have plenty of space to put their outdoor clothes & shoes, and store their ski's in the racking. The porch also houses our washing machine and tumble drier.
This area leads to the hall, where the stairs take you to the first floor and there are doorways to a downstairs W.C. and on into the living area.
The comfortable living area is open plan. It comprises of a fully-fitted modern kitchen, which includes a hob, oven, fridge-freezer, microwave and dishwasher.
In the dining area, the table seats 6 in comfort.
The light and airy conservatory faces south, enjoying all-day sun. It extends the living area and houses the TV, (with UK Sky Channels), DVD Player, (with selection of DVD's) & Playstation, (with collection of games).
However these items can be moved to the main living area, thereby allowing the room to be used as a 3rd separate bedroom utilising the huge double sofa-bed.
The double bedroom has a large double bed and views over Kreischberg. Perfect to get a good night's sleep after a hard day skiing, boarding, hiking, rafting, swimming, cycling...........!!
There is also plenty of space for hanging clothes and storing suitcases etc. An electric heater ensures the room stays lovely and warm even on the coldest of days.
The twin room has end to end beds and is also kept cosy by the electric heater. It overlooks the rear garden so is quiet and tranquil.
It also has plenty of space to hang up clothes and store away cases, with room to spare!
The bathroom is fully tiled. It has a full size bath, shower, W.C. and basin.
The ski chalet is in a very quiet area. If you are driving there is private parking with the outside areas of the house having external lighting.
The village itself has several shops including a butcher's, a chemist, a bakery and two supermarkets. There are a couple of hotels with restaurants nearby. In the centre of the village is a beautiful lake, fed by a natural spring for bathing in the summer months, becoming an ice skating rink during the winter season. Nearby are exceptionally well maintained football pitches, tennis courts, a volleyball court and a well equipped children's play area, as well as a cafe for refreshments.
Stadl an der Mur is positioned near the borders of the provinces of Salzburg, Styria and Carinthia; in fact the Italian and Slovenian borders are only 2 to 3 hours away.
This area is famed for its many lakes and mountain ranges which really deserves it’s reputation as a dual season resort.
The 7 ski mountain areas situated locally, (altitudes up to 2222m) cater for all abilities, amongst the beautiful backdrop of the Austrian Alps. Most boast over 70% snow making, making the area one of Austria’s most snow sure regions. Queues are virtually non-existent and the pistes wide and fantastically prepared. Ski/Board Hire is on hand locally and there are excellent Ski Schools available. This area really is a fantastic and economic alternative to other over-priced and over-used areas in Austria and the rest of the Alps.
The area averages over 200 days of sunshine, providing fantastic weather during the spring/summer, allowing enthusiasts to hike or bike amidst stunning scenery. Apart from Fishing, the River Mur allows the more adventurous to try White Water Rafting. With the addition of summer Toboggan run and several golf courses in the proximity, there is enough to keep the whole family busy!
For children the area is fantastic – there are long wide open nursery slopes along with other activities such as trampolines and a tubing run, (not just for the kids!)

NOTE: We have tried to make the prices as competitive as possible to ensure our guests get excellent value for money. Handovers can be flexible, so short breaks are welcome.
A non-refundable Reservation Deposit (20% of overall price of rental) is required within 7 days of reservation. This should be paid by cheque, (please allow 10 days for clearance).
The balance of the rental price is required 6 weeks prior to travel.
A Security Deposit of £250.00 / €250.00 is required 6 weeks prior to travel, refundable on return of key and satisfactory final inspection.
The rent is for the whole chalet on a daily rate. It includes:
* Accomodation for a MAXIMUM of 6 persons - 1 Double, 1 Twin, 1 Double Sofabed
* Heating Costs
* Electricity
* Use of Dishwasher, Washing Machine & Tumble Drier
* Austrian Government Tax - €1.00 Per Person Per Day (Over 14yrs).
Meter readings are be taken by guests at the start and at the end of the stay and forwarded to us by text. Reasonable gas/electric usage is included in the price, however any excessive use may result in a deduction being taken from the Security Deposit.
Please note, this is a non-smoking chalet
The security deposit is £250 from which we take the final cleaning fee of £50 plus £6 per guest. i.e. £74 for 4 persons, £86 for 6 etc.
