This 3-bedroom ground floor apartment is with every luxury in secure, quiet, gated residential community. Kitchen has induction hob, electric oven and grill, large fridge freezer, dishwasher, washing, microwave and dryer, microwave, and high quality cutlery, delph and glassware. Dining room table seats 8 but most of your dining will probably be on the covered patio, which also has an electric BBQ, table tennis table, and heaters for cool evenings in winter. There is a small private grassed garden leading to the two shared swimming pools. Bedroom 1 is a double, with full en-suite, and door leading to patio. Bed 2 is a double, and Bed 3 is a double/twin as required. These rooms each have their own shower room, and they share a WC. All bedrooms have built-in with robes; TV, iPod Dock, DVD, and SKY (bring your own card). The lounge is luxuriously equipped with big TV, SKY, French TV, Internet connection, Wii console, DVD, stereo and iPod Dock. Your private parking space is just outside the front door.
When you arrive, just pop down to the village to get essentials. There is a Spar supermarket open until 7 every day, and also a butcher, fishmonger, bakery, chemist, bank, post office, train station, wine shop, and 2 cafes. If you are feeling lazy, there is a take-away pizza van in the village every evening. For a gourmet meal at home, the butcher has a great selection of veg dishes, pies, and hot cooked meals that just need a minute in the microwave. If you fancy cooking at home, try some local fish on the BBQ. For your main shopping, there is a huge E.L'Eclerc supermarket just 5 minutes away, with amazing fish, local meats, paella, and of course wine. Be daring with your wine selections. You can drink lovely fresh local wine for around € 2 - € 3 a bottle!
If the Golden Arches are your thing, there is a MacDonalds at the local supermarket, and another right in the middle of St. Raphael. Boulouris itself has three restaurants, specialising in fish. Great for adults, but picky kids may not find them suitable. The seafront of St. Raphael is buzzing with Italian, Chinese, Indian, and of course French restaurants, suitable for all budgets and tastes. A family meal for four, (starters, mains, desserts, and wine) costs about € 80 in a mid-range restaurant. Do try eating outside, to get the buzz of passers by. St. Raphael has a large outdoor market every evening. It's about 2 Km from end to end, and remember that there is no parking on the side of the road which houses the market from 7pm onwards. We like to eat first, then have dessert 'on the hoof' while browsing. There is nothing nicer than strolling along eating a crepe or ice cream, and admiring the goods in the market.
Boulouris has three golf courses, all pretty much beside each other. The main course has a nice, short-ish but tricky layout, and is suitable for seasoned golfers and occasional players. Clubs may be hired, subject to notice, but be aware that tee times will definitely need to be booked in advance. There is also a golf academy.

recommended Boulouris is a charming, typically French village, where local residents have access to a fabulous butcher who also sells freshly BBQ chickens, home made pies, vegegetables dishes, etc. There is a lovely shop selling cakes and fresh bread daily, and also a bank, post office, chemist, small Spar supermarket, church and two cafes. The 14 sandy beaches of Boulouris start just 200 metres from the village, and there is a farmers market every Monday. The twin towns of St. Raphael and Frejus are a five minute drive, or you can take the bus which stops right outside the apartment. The town boasts a vast array of restaurants, a bustling evening market, a zoo, sightseeing ferry's to Nice and St. Tropez, Roman ruins, a huge water park, and a massive fairground which opens every evening during the season. Beaches are sandy, and the water is warm. Water sports of every kind are available, and you can go gliding or micro lighting in the area too. There is a large hypermarket 5 minutes from the apartment. |
