not necessary Windjammer is one of the top family resorts on the beautiful island of St Lucia. It caters for all ages, and is fabulous for children and teenagers having clubs for both and lots of organised activities, particularly over the Easter period. With fabulous local restaurants to be recommended nearby this is a wonderful holiday resort with the real added bonus of being in a villa that has privacy and stunning views with all the benefits of the hotel resort within walking distance. Rodney Bay is a 5 minute taxi ride which has many restaurants and beaches if required. Most people never leave Windjammer as there is so much to do and lots of different types of restaurants to eat in with live entertainment most nights; limbo dancing, reggae bands to name just a few. |

The rainforest has a zip wire great for kids and well worth a trip. There is horse riding, a golf course nearby and watersports on the resort. Scuba diving at the resort will take you all over the island. Pigeon island has a lovely local restaurant worth a visit. Whale watching is also possible and you can hire a jeep and drive around the island. A pirate ship from Pirates of the Caribbean does trips from Rodney Bay to the Pietons with a visit to an extinct volcano - a trip for all the family.

Directions
A taxi from St Lucia international airport takes approximately one and a half hours. A helicopter ride over the jungle is a real treat and takes only about 40 minutes including the ride and drive and can be arranged directly with the hotel before travel.
