Chalet Aravis is a recently refurbished traditional Savoyard self-catered chalet located in St Jean de Sixt, nestled between Grand Bornand and La Clusaz. The comfortable and well equipped 5 bedroom chalet sleeps up to 11 people. Offering a high quality of self-contained accommodation the holiday rental chalet is perfect for groups or families that are looking for a convenient and well equipped mountain chalet to act as a real "home from home" giving you the chance to relax in comfort.
The traditional chalet is located in the centre of St Jean de Sixt and offers stunning views of the beautiful surrounding Aravis mountains in both Winter and Summer. Its convenient location means that you are just a minute's walk away from shops and services in the village centre as well as just 5 minutes from the nearby ski and summer resort villages of La Clusaz and Grand Bornand.
La Clusaz in the Winter The chalet features a large living area on the ground floor consisting of a very well equipped modern kitchen with gas hob and electric oven, cosy lounge with leather sofa, open fire place and TV/DVD, plus a separate dining room as well as a bathroom (with bath) and WC. Chalet Aravis is set in the village of St Jean de Sixt in the Aravis Mountains, Haute Savoie department of France. St Jean is a traditional alpine village with a population of around 1200 people. It offers a small supermarket, 2 bakeries, a green grocer, a chemist and a doctor's surgery as well as tennis courts and a couple of bars and restaurants.
The bigger villages of La Clusaz and Le Grand Bornand are just 2 kilometres / five minutes from the chalet by car and have more shops, cafés and restaurants as well as swimming pools, children's activities, cable cars and direct access to the ski pistes and biking and walking tracks.
The nearest big town is Annecy - just half an hour away from St Jean.
The nearest airport is Geneva - just one hour away from the chalet, or it's possible to get the train to either Geneva or Annecy - just half an hour away from St Jean.
