Our apartment boasts a superb setting within the Siesta Mar 1 Complex, this is the apartment that was used as the Show Apartment when these apartments were first built, it has a superb location. The apartment has superb views of the Private Pool area and of the children's play area allowing you to keep a close eye on your children from your very own Private balcony. You will also have an easy direct access to your apartment from the pool area to enable you to pop back to take a break from the sun by walking approx 20 yards, if the kids want to sit in the apartment and watch TV while you sit in the sun you can still keep a watchful eye on them for peace of mind. If its the beach you want then you will not be disappointed as it is a stunning horse shoe family beach with bars, restaurants, toilets and showers which is only a fifteen minute walk away, this is accessed by steep steps.
The apartment also has large gardens where the children can play and is based next door to Siesta Mar 2 which has water slides, a further two pools, children's games room, restaurant and bar. The apartment has just been refurnished and decorated and is based close to the centre of Cala'n Porter's bars, restaurants, supermarkets, a five minute walk.
The apartment is also ocated within a 10-minute walk of the Caves nightclub, this is a fantastic night club which is bulit into the rockface overlooking the ocean and has a fantastic view from the dance floor at night.
The resort of Cala'n Porter is one of the largest coastal developments of the municipal district of Alaior, along the central south coast of Menorca.
At a little over 12km, or 8 miles, the transfer into the resort from the international Aeropuerto de Menorca, is possibly one of the shortest on the island, and should usually take no more than 15 minutes from the time you leave the airport grounds.
Over all, the island of Menorca is an ideal retreat for people yearning to relax. The fine sanded shores (over 200 kilometers in length) coupled with green sceneries in the countryside, plus the great weather, will surely make up a great vacation time for everyone.
The resort of Cala'n Porter is recognised as being one of the largest developments on the south coast, and is often described by the major tour operators being "lively". By Menorcan standards it probably is, however, don't go expecting to find another Magaluf or Playa de las Americas here, Menorca just isn't like that, which for most people who holiday here is attraction enough. As with most resorts on the island, their is evening entertainment here during the summer months, Cala'n Porter does have a small number of lively bars, and at least one late night disco at the Cova d'en Xoroi (not to be missed, the views from the dance floor in the early hours of the morning are amazing, its only a 10 minute walk from the apartment) The resort is famous throughout all of Menorca for the Cave and legend of Xoroi. He was a pirate who kidnapped a local girl and held her prisoner in the cave for 10 years. They had several children together before she was finally rescued after his footsteps in the snow gave away their hiding place. During the day the cave serves as a bar, however this then transforms into a disco from 11pm until dawn.
Once you are in the resort, and have settled in to your accommodation, the journey back into Mahon for shopping or sightseeing, is then fairly easy by public transport. During the summer months there's usually around 5 or 6 buses a day running into the capital, and once there, further connections are then available to travel further afield
Cala'n porter's sandy beach is for the whole family! It has a park for the young children and a shallow area for paddling, it’s also has restaurants, bars and shops along the side of the beach. Sun beds, and umbrella's are for rent and also pedalos for those that would like to explore the sea and caves that are around the complex. If you and your partner are looking for a romantic scene why not stroll down to the beach and watch the breathe taking sunrise or sunset.

Cala'n Porter is less than a 15 minute car journey from the airport, there are taxis available outside the airport terminal and a transfer should cost approx 15 to 20 Euros per car or Car Hire is available at the airport or can be booked in advance and be waiting for you when you land.
