Privately operated chalet offering quality accommodation

Description

Chalet Iskar is a five bedroom chalet and is the only privately operated catered property in Borovets. It has been converted to its British owners specifications recently, to offer high quality and spacious accommodation. Ideal to sleep 14 people.

This catered Chalet consists of five en-suite bedrooms with three of them to accommodate a cot/child’s bed. The downstairs consists of lounge/dinning area, with its own kitchen and separate WC. The main gondola lift is only a couple of minutes stroll away, and the impressive Samakov Hotel is next doors.

As expected from a catered Chalet, breakfast, tea and evening meal are all provided, as well as free wine/drinks. There is also an honesty bar plus the property is heated by a dual fuel central heating system with radiators in each bedroom while the ensuite facilities all have electric showers, to ensure hot water is always available.

Each room has a colour TV with DVD player and hairdryer. There are guest facilities for tea and coffee in the lounge/dining area, along with microwave,TV, DVD, and hi-fi, and a selection of games and magazines, ideal for all the members of the family.

As stated, guests benefits froma catered chalet with its meals that are included in the price. Breakfast consists of a continental fayre, with the addition of things like boiled eggs and omelettes. Tea and coffee are provided while the afternoon tea is provided on a help yourself basis. The dinner is a sit down meal with complimentary wine/beer and soft drinks plus there is an honesty bar provided, along with satellite TV, DVD and hifi in the lounge area. The tea and coffee facilities are always available in the dining area.

There is also a sizeable ski/board/boots storage locker downstairs, and all the guests needs with regard to passes and lessons can be arranged, as well as some more exotic skiing experiences.

The property that has been introduced for the July 2008 season was with the inclusion of helmets for children, and also the start of the owners' own ski school. It is equipped with vist/blizzard/and rossignol skiis plus rossignol boots which are all brand new.

The owners also specialise in small groups, a maximum of four people, catering for improvers, children, and a special class for the ladies, especially the 'nervous' ones with a lady instructor. They can also arrange Kindergarten classes as well, and if they have enough demand for the coming season, they will have their own dedicated nanny/instructor for the guests.

Borovets caters for all levels of skiing, and is especially renowned for those learning to ski and board. There are a good selection of runs to test all abilities, and the owners have the added bonus of being able to cater for extreme parties, involving snow cat treks, night skiing with head lamps and ski-do skiing as well.

Guests won’t find this anywhere else since this chalet is owned by very keen skiers, and is managed by the resorts top snowboarding instructor. The owners aim to please any guests wanting to rent the property which entails that any special requests are always welcome. Guests just have to give them a little warning for the more obscure ones.

Borovets is set in the Rila Mountains and is Bulgaria's premier winter holiday resort, based at the foot of Mt Mousala, which is the highest peak on the Balkan Peninsula. Snow cover is extremely good between mid December and as far as the end of April. As well as providing opportunities for walking, mountain biking, fishing and hunting in the summer, it is also an excellent base for exploring the surrounding areas.

NOTE:
Flights can be booked through ourselves, prices from £65 indirect flights to about £250 BA. The earlier the holiday is booked the cheaper the flights will be. Transfers to the resort are £25 per person return, in our own minibus, and/or cars. Child reductions apply. During the summer months we can arrange cycle hire/maps, etc everything needed for a relaxing but energetic time away. We can also arrange specialised hunting trips, hunting Boar and Deer, and we can arrange fishing trips with all the necessary permits, and of course all the necessary guides. Special rates are applicable for parties booking the entire chalet.
