It is situated 2 km from the main road SP4 ,along a private 'white' road, , lined with olive groves and mediterranean bush. It is located perfectly between San Gimignano and Volterra. Podere Torrichi consists of 3 farm buildings totally renovated and lanscaped with a fabulous infinity type pool shared by the owners.
One of the most famous walled medieval towns in Tuscany, San Gimignano, is approx 20 minutes away ( 14km), known for its medieval towers and architectural treasures. Here there are many restaurants and speciality shops as well as lovely buildings , museums and churches. In the opposite direction lies Volterra, once the Etruscan capital with its wealth of historical buildings, restaurants and shops protected by the massive walls.
Siena is 45 minutes drive, steeped in history and culture, famous for Il Palio and the bustling Piazza Il Campo. Florence is about one hour away , with more fascinating art and architecture than one can imagine.
Bibbona , less than an hours drive has lovely unspoilt beaches and a quiet relaxing atmosphere, dotted with beachside cafes.
The Chianti region is approx 45 minutes drive with its many vineyards , wine tasting tours and numerous restaurants.
In the immediate area are several restaurants proud of their local produce and Tuscan menus.
It is an area of natural beauty, one may see wild boar along the roads and an abundance of birds and small wildlife.
If one is seeking rest and relaxation , it is here. Peaceful and beautiful , yet within easy distance of the major towns and cities of which Tuscany is so justly proud.

This spacious ( 82sq ft) two bedroom apartment is a part of a beautiful private development of 13 apartments of renovated farm buildings which have been sympathetically restored using natural materials and the original stone. Chestnut beams and terracotta floor tiles , together with grainite worktops and etruscan marble are used in kitchens and bathrooms. A west facing terrace with dining furniture looks over a typical Tuscan landscape of rolling hills and olive groves, and an infinity type pool borders the Tuscan countryside.
The furnishings have been carefully chosen to complement the rural location and the stone farm buildings. Light oak furniture and comfortable sofas and beds ensure a restful holiday.. The wardrobes and fittings have been made by local craftsmen using local materials where possible.
The master bedroom has an en-suite bathroom and dressing area, and the twin bedded room has ample room for a cot . There is a family bathroom with washing machine. Bedroom windows fitted with mosquito nets.
The kitchen cupboards are made from Italian chestnut and house all the modern conveniences, dishwasher and cooker, hob and fan. There is a good size fridge freezer and ample crockery and utensils.
Great care has gone into equipping the apartment to create a comfortable home with modern day luxuries and rustic charm.
A pretty west facing terrace with covered gazebo provides shelter from the hot sun. Native plants climb around and the private garden is filled with mediterranean bush and flower pots.
There is ample garden furniture and the shared pool is 50m away, a lovely infinity type pool with sunbathing area and sunbeds. The view from the pool is wonderful, stretching across rolling hills to the town of Volterra in the distance.
The communal gardens are managed as is the pool.
