Description

Branxholme Knowe is a large detached period property which is set in two acres of very well maintained private gardens.

The property benefits from five large double bedrooms and can comfortably accommodate ten adults or two families. Four bedrooms are located around a galleried landing with two bathrooms (one en suite) serving the bedrooms. Downstairs the sitting room and garden room, which is over 40 sq metres, ensure there is plenty of space for all to enjoy. The garden room is a particular favourite with guests as it lends itself to entertaining and is often used as a small function room for family celebrations. The dining room provides a great setting for dinner parties (table seats 12-14) and benefits from an open fire. There is also a twin bedroom downstairs which is served by a bathroom on the same floor. A new fully fitted kitchen was installed in 2009 and all the bathrooms were newly fitted in 2011 and feature quality fittings such as Grohe, Makti and Heritage.

Branxholme Knowe is located 3 miles south of Hawick. Hawick itself is renowned for cashmere production and is home to the famous Pringle brand. Attractions in the town include the Borders Textile museum and the award winning 100 acre Wilton Park with riverside walks, walled gardens and children playground. Unsploit Craik Forest, one of the largest man made forests in Europe , provides super walking within a stunning location. The picturesque local market towns of Kelso, Melrose and Selkirk are within 30 mins drive, whilst the 'Athens of the North, Edinburgh, is a 75 min drive. As well as being a walkers paradise the Borders is great location for other outdoor pursuits such as cycling (excellent mountain biking), fishing, golf (superb value), sailing and horse riding. - Branxholme Knowe is easily reached from Edinburgh Airport (75 mins) and Newcastle Airport (90 mins). Driving from England the property is 2.5 hrs drive from Manchester and 4 hrs from Birmingham.
