The apartment has balconies front and rear. The front gives a view over the ocean and the wonderful sunsets that regularly occur; the rear, which has views over the sea and bay and overlooks the pool, has a table and chairs for dining or relaxing. The split level roof terrace gives panoramic views over the Atlantic and the bay of Sao Martinho do Porto and is a magnificent place to relax in the sun or enjoy a barbecue. Within the development there is an outdoor pool 16m x 8m and a small children’s pool both of which are surrounded by a large south facing terrace area with sun loungers and tables and chairs.
The apartment has two bedrooms, one with a double bed and one with twin beds. There is a large lounge area with two sofas one of which is a double sofa bed. The dining area has a table large enough for 6 to sit comfortably but can be extended for more space if required. There is a Cable TV, DVD plus a few films ,CD/radio, and a small collection of books and games. Wifi internet is now included

The Kitchen is fully equipped with plenty of crockery, glasses and cutlery plus all the appliances you will require. The bathroom has a bath with shower over, sink, WC and bidet.
A travel cot and a high chair can also be provided.
There is a video entry system in the apartment.
There is a reserved space in the underground car park. Parking is also available on the road outside.
A meet and greet service is included in the price.
Towels for use within the apartment and bed linen are provided and included in the price but an additional charge of £15 per week is made when 5 or 6 stay or the sofa bed is required. Beach towels are not provided.
Accessibility
The development is on a short but fairly steep slope down to the bay which would be difficult for wheel chair users. The apartment itself is on the first floor, the staircase is wide with only a few steps but there is no lift. The apartment is all on one level.
Outside
The shared pool is 16m x 8m x 1.5m and is surrounded by a patio area and this area is bordered by plant troughs.
Coast/Beach
The apartment is located on the clifftop overlooking the Atlantic. 200m from the apartment there is the wonderful shell shaped bay of Sao Martinho do Porto with a fine sandy beach and warm calm sea which is safe and ideal for families. There is a further stretch of sandy beach north of the apartment.
Golf
For golf enthusiasts the Silver Coast is the new destination in Portugal. There are several courses within easy reach.
Praia d'el Rey (18 holes) approx 20km from apartment.
Rio Maior (18 holes) approx 50km from apartment.
Consolação (9 hole) approx 70km from apartment.
Vimeiro (9 hole) approx 50kms from apartment and in the same area as Consolação.

Curia (9 holes but to be extended to 18) 125kms from apartment
Botado (9 hole) approx 40kms from apartment
Quinta do Brinçal (18 hole) approx 50kms from apartment Need to be accompanied by a member at most times.
In addition there are 19 courses in the Lisbon area.
Travel
Nearest airport is Lisbon approx 90kms away, just 55 minutes by car on the A8. TAP and Monarch fly Gatwick to Lisbon, BA and TAP fly from Heathrow, Easyjet and Ryanair fly from Luton.
There is a train station in São Martinho do Porto with services from Lisbon. There are regular bus services from Lisbon to São Martinho do Porto.

Further details
Most of the restaurants are near the seafront and there are a variety of shops along the seafront and the roads at the northern corner of the bay. There is a market for fish, fresh fruit and vegetables on the east side of the town and a supermarket providing all essentials.

There are several important historic sites nearby including Alcobaca, Batalha, Fatima, Nazare, Obidos and Peniche; towards Lisbon there is Jerónimos, Mafra, Sintra. Belem. Further afield there is Almourol (castle), Coimbra (old universtiy town), Conimbriga (Roman town), Marvao walled town similar to Obidos, Tomar (castle and church of the Templars) Peneche is a major centre for surfing and there are surfing schools on Baleal beach

An apartment worth staying in
What a great apartment, with wonderful views, comfortable accommodation and stocked with everything you could need. It's only a short walk to the centre of the resort with really good eating places. I was there over New Year and had a brilliant time. There was live music and fireworks in the bay. To be recommended.
