Description
Quinta San Antonio is a perfect holiday villa for a large group or two families. The villa sleeps 10 comfortably. There are 5 twin bedded rooms and 4 bathrooms, a huge living/dining room, and spacious open plan kitchen, recently re-fitted.
There is a large shaded dining terrace and barbecue overlooking the huge pool with shallow Roman end steps ideal for kids and a 3m deep end for the more adventurous.
The village of Alportel is a 5 minute walk away and the busy market town of San Bras lies just 3 kilometres down the hill. The beaches are 30 minutes drive away as are numerous famous golf courses. The sleepy town of Faro is 20 minutes drive and Vilamoura also about half an hour away. There are numerous good local restaurants within easy reach.
The Algarve in Portugal is a popular holiday destination thanks to its warm climate. The coastline is approximately 155 kilometres and stretches for 52 kilometres to the north on the west. At its widest point to the north, it is 36 kilometres deep.
There are many sandy attractive beaches and the sea temperature is often surprisingly warm even in some of the winter months.
Whilst the coastline is well-developed, away from the immediate coastal plain are the foothills, which are left unspoilt. These are a beautiful place to spend a relaxing holiday whilst having all the coastline activities within 20-30 minutes drive.

The villa is 20/25 minutes drive from Faro Airport and just 3 kilometres north of San Bras de Alportel.
A multitude of airlines have daily flights from many UK airports to Faro which is just 2 hours 15 minutes flight time from Gatwick.
Car hire is readily available from depots on the Airport.

Our best family holiday ever!
This was our first time in the Algarve and we were travelling in the October half term holidays. The weather was superb like a warm English summer and everything worked like a dream. The owner arranged an English speaking Taxi driver to meet us at the airport and a food parcel as we arrived very late. The kids loved the huge pool and terraces and we tried out all the recommended restaurants nearby which were all great value. The beach at Fuseta was only 20 minutes away and one day we went to Ayamonte ,just across the border in Spain. Everything in the house was as described. Perfect house and great holiday!
Beautiful accommodation in fabulous surroundings.
We have just spent two wonderful weeks at this lovely villa. The rooms are tastefully decorated and so spacious.It is clean, well looked after and so peaceful. Many an hour can slip away lounging by the pool. The wonderful terrace overlooking the pool beckons you out each morning to have breakfast. The facilities are superb. If you fancy a night in as we did, the barbque was so easy and with the lights twinkling, dinner on the terrace was a romantic affair.
The suurounding countryside is so pretty. We found that being a short drive away from the coast, encouraged us to explore further inland than we might have expected.
Sao Bras de Alportel is itself a little gem. Steeped in history with its Roman Road and Rural Museum.
There is so much to see within even a 30 minute drive, including Loule,Tavira and one of our favourite locations, The Pousada at Estoi.
Would we go again? You bet.
