The apartment is also a short walk from the town shops and restaurants and the Hovercraft terminal. The hovercraft takes ten minutes to cross the Solent to the historic city of Portsmouth, with its maritime history, historic dockyard with Nelsons flagship The Victory and King Henry VIII's flagship the Mary Rose. The landmark Spinnaker Tower can be seen from the apartment. This self catering fully equipped holiday rental is supplied with luxury linen and towels. The main bedroom has a kingsize bed and very large en-suite bathroom, second bedroom with single bed and trundle bed, main bathroom, living/dining room, kitchen and private parking. The self catering apartment is situated in Ryde, on the North coast of the Isle of Wight, a 15 minute drive from the Wightlink cross Solent ferry terminal at Fishbourne, which crosses from Portsmouth and also a 10 minute walk from the Ryde Hovercraft terminal, which crosses to Southsea (Portsmouth) seafront. Yards from the sandy beach and a short walk to the glorious Appley sands. All the amenities of Ryde town are within walking distance, so if crossing by Hovercraft, a car is not needed but recommended if wanting to travel around the Island. Situated on The Strand and steps away from Ryde town Esplanade. The property has it's own private parking space. The apartment is very well situated for exploring all the attractions of the island. The famous Isle of Wight zoo with it's white tigers as seen on TV. The Needles, Cowes, Blackgang Chine for the children, beautiful Osbourne House , the retreat of Queen Victoria, The famous Isle of Wight glass factory where you can see glass blowing.

NOTE: * Please note: The apartment has a Friday change over day but can be flexible during the low/mid season.
Please note: A maximum of 4 persons to be accommodated only, unless by prior agreement, when an extra charge of £50 will be made per extra person per week and own bedding/linen arrangements to be brought with, as they will not be supplied.
* A £100 returnable damage deposit will be charged on top of the rental rates to cover any loss, damage or extra cleaning incurred during the stay. The apartment will be checked by the cleaner/owner on vacation and the full or part deposit returned within 7 days. Please note, to date, there have been no instances where any of the deposit has had to be retained. If a later check out time is required and there is not another booking following on that day, then a late check out/day rate will be required as the cleaning will need to be rearranged.
All repeat bookings will be treated to a good bottle of wine or similar as a gesture of appreciation.
* The weekend night rate is classed as being Friday, Saturday and Sunday, with the weekly night rate being Monday to Thursday.
IMPORTANT CONDITIONS
A deposit of 25% will be taken on booking with the balance plus the security deposit payable 8 weeks prior to the start of the holiday. Failure to pay within 7 days of the due date of the balance will result in the the let period being opened up for another booking. If the holiday is cancelled prior to the due date of the balance and another let could not be achieved, then the deposit will be retained, in the event of cancellation by the letting party after the whole amount is paid, then similar conditions apply. The owner will do all possible to achieve another let but will not be liable in any way if this could not be achieved and the whole rental rate, minus the security deposit will be retained. Letting parties are advised to take out their own cancellation insurance.

* The main bedroom has a kingsize bed, with linen already in place. It is a large light and airy space with a small Juliet balcony with lovely views over Ryde town and in to the distance. It has a very large en suite bathroom attached, with large windows and the same views over Ryde town and there are two bath towels and a hand towel provided. All the windows have venetian blinds and curtains (no curtains in bathroom, only blinds). There is a bedside DAB radio/alarm with an ipod dock, so you can wake up to your favourite music. |

Easy to Book
Easy to book, excellent communication from the owner and clear directions to get there. Property was immaculate and well eqipped with the bonus of an allocated parking space. Very close to beach and within easy walking distance of Ryde town centre for shops, restaurants etc. This was an ideal base from which to visit the rest of the Isle of Wight and is highly recommended.
Fab
Stayed in this apartment August Bank Holiday for the Isle of Wight Scooter Rally and had a lovely week. Apartment was fab, lovely deco, clean, fresh and well equipped, and Debbie, the owner, was very helpful, so would fully recommend a stay here.
A beautiful flat
A beautiful flat, well decorated and fitted out, very clean and obviously well looked after and maintained. A great plus was having a space to park the car without looking at meters and parking permits! We had a really good week, especially as the beach, which was clean and not overcrowded, even in August, was minutes away. There is a lovely friendly local pub just behind the flat, The Simeon Arms, which has a small range of pub food. Lots of places to visit, which are all very near. We are looking forward to a second visit.
Super experience
As a memeber of my family lives in Ryde, I have visited the Isle of Wight many times, ususally for the day, or for a week. however, this time I wanted to find somewhere for the weekend, and stumbled across this apartment. What a find! The location is lovely, opposite a nice bit of beach, and only a 10 minute walk to Ryde town centre. the apartment itself is very nice (I am fussy about accommodation), scrupulously clean, with everything you could need for a short break. I left feeling completely satisfied and will definitely be booking another visit soon.
Fantastic Location
Great flat for a trip to the Island. Fantastic location, great decoration, spacious (was loads of room for 2 adults and 2 kids), and quality cooker, pots, pans, crockery etc, very easy to self cater. tea, coffee, toilet rolls etc all there when we arrived.
I'd recommend this flat to anyone. nice sea views, and short walk to beach, bars/cafes.
