Large secluded 4 bedroom villa with heated private pool

Perfect French Holiday Villa Retreat
June-July 2009.....
Having been 'resident' for the past 5 summer vacations at Villa Kashdan in both June and early July over the years, we would advise that the villa internally is finished and equipped to a high standard, the pool surround provides ample space for the sun worshipers with the pool itself providing welcome relief from the mid day sun, as required and the extensive wooded gardens provide a peaceful area to shelter from the heat of the summer sun, if required.
We travelled extensively around the area, mainly to visit the local village markets to '..meet the locals..' and purchase their fresh, locally farmed products and goods.
With the Verdon Gorge and its massive lake within a 10 min drive there are ample facilities for the water sport/ adventure seekers.
Fabulous Villa which would suit couples and families hoping for a relaxing vacation in the heart of the French countryside....hopefully we will return next year.

We truly loved our time in Villa Kashdan. It's decorated, equipped and furnished to a high standard, and it's very comfortable and spacious.

It's a great location for all that Provence and the Var has to offer. We spent most of our time enjoying the Lac du Ste. Croix, esp. pedalo picnics. We were really taken with Moustiers Ste. Marie and Esperran, which were both great spots to get in touch with and enjoy the local customs. The markets held in Regusse, Aups and Baudinard were fun to have a look around in. There's a lot to do and see, and the views are spectacular and breathtaking around the Verdon Gorge.

We'd recommend this property to anyone, esp. those with young children who love to explore gardens, like our girls! :)

Excellent spot for relaxong holidays
Nice and spacious place for families with small children. Even for two families. Car is a must. Lots of places to see nearby, especially for persons who like nature. Also nice markets nearby. Very nice pool area. Very practical villa with lots of space to sit, eat and enjoy, both inside and outside. Not for party animals.

Fantastic Villa Kashdan June 2010
We will never forget the feeling of relief as we walked in to the villa after a 12 hour journey. Villa Kashdan is very inviting and the entrance hall is large, airy and minimally but tastefully decorated. This sets the tone for the rest of the house which is furnished and decorated to a high standard.

The bedrooms were all lovely and ours in particular was perfect with ensuite, separate bath and shower rooms and double, shuttered doors opening out on to the pool area.

The interior of the house was so large that the 9 of us never felt underneath each others feet and there was plenty of room to relax and read in peace.

The pool was great for the kids and adults and was safely fenced off, which was important with us having a 2 year old. The pool area itself was spacious, well maintained and had plenty of sun beds. It also had the sun until early evening so great for a tan and a cooling dip.

The shaded patio is where we spent most of our time, it was always cool, had a big table to eat at and overlooked the pool and the woodland in which the villa is set. A perfect place to sit out late with a glass of wine.

The garden, which extends right around the villa, is essentially an area of woodland with what seem to be really old Provencal dry stone walls, parasol pines and oaks. This was a great playgound for the kids and we knew they were safe as the whole plot is well fenced.

The kitchen was well stocked with crockery, cutlery, pans and glassware which was really important as we like to do most our own cooking using local produce where possible.

Aups is nearby and a really nice town with a real old French feel as well as conveniences such as in Intermarche. Had a lovely meal in the Auberge de la Tour (fillet steak with foie gras and truffle sauce) and went to the twice weekly market for local, fresh produce. The spice stall smells amzing!

The surrounding area is incredibly beautiful. Les Gorges Du Verdon are a must and taking a pedalo in to the Grand Canyon is great fun. There is good and easily accessible walking at all levels (try Montagne D'Espiguires just outside Aups at 880m)

Local hi-lights are Moustiers Ste Marie which is gorgeous and relatively cheap for pottery, herbs etc:

Further afield Arles and the Camargue are great for an overnight stay.

A brilliant holiday thanks to Villa Kashdan

Well-equipped property in a beautiful area
Villa Kashdan is an excellent place to stay for a holiday. We went with another family and there was plenty of space (and bathrooms!) for all of us. The property was very clean on arrival and well equipped. We loved eating out on the terrace overlooking the pool and would finish each day with a game of boules on the court in the garden. The kitchen was well equipped so it was easy to self-cater.

The area is very beautiful - we hadn't realised how stunning the Verdon Gorge and Lac du St Croix was until we saw it. Because the scenery here is so lovely, we didn't feel the need to drive down to the coast (apparently about 1 hour away),There are plenty of very beautiful french villages nearby with typical Provencal markets most days, or for more mundane items an Atac supermarket just 5 mins away in Regusse. Our favourite place was Moustier St Marie - stunning scenery and the most amazing icecream shop (I would recommend trying the lavender icecream, it was heavenly).

I would recommend this area and property for anyone who enjoys beautiful scenery or pottering around ancient french villages - however it is quite rural so you would most definitely need a car.

Villa Kashdan is perfect in every way
We have been coming to the south of france for the last 4 years and this was our first time at Villa Kashdan and can't wait to re-book. It is a perfect location for visiting the Gorges du Verdon and the town of Aups is fabulous there was something happening there everyday.

The swimming pool and facilities at the villa were excellent. The property was clean and well maintained.
