12th September Guthrie, Cape Town, South Africa
“Every day has been superb, we’d particularly recommend canoeing on the Dordogne and even the grandparents joined in. St Emillion wine tasting and lunch was a high point also and eating oysters at Arcachon overlooking the bay. What more could you ask from a holiday? Loved the views from the balcony and the pool. The wine is nearly as good as SA!! We’ll be back!!”
2nd October Pelham family Pinner, Middlesex
“Great place, easily equal to Acabanes. The pool was our highlight given that our little boy at 20months swam with only armbands for the first time. Thanks for making the house accessible for our son, we really appreciated all you did”
23rd October Chamberlains, Welton, Northamptonshire
“Had a relaxing week at this new venture. Had an enjoyable round of golf at Vigiers with Gareth (the pool man and gardener) and also a great meal on the patio of the golf course. We found Gareth to be a very pleasant and helpful young man. Looking forward to future visits to La Grange Sud”
Fabulous Luxury Villa, unbelievable Golf Views
This is a lovely Villa, a converted Grange and it has been modernised to a very high standard, with all modern conveniences but retains loads of original features and oozes charm and ambiance. The location is superb, even if you are not a golfer you will enjoy watching the golf from the front balcony. Others terraces around the pool and outside the kitchen are great for sunbathing and BBQs. We have holdayed here in April/May and also September, enjoying lovely weather, and BBQs and swimming. The pool is great, and I swam every day, it was so nice and warm. We love the area, and visit every year, but, since discovering this Villa and the owners other property, Acabanes, have not bothered to look at any other properties as these have it all, whatever your needs !!There is loads to do in the are, visitng Bergerac, Eymet St Emilion and trips on the Dordogne are high on our list every year, plus vineyard visits, and wine tasting !!But it is difficult to tear yourself away from the Villa, as it has all you need.
Great restaurants in the Area Tracey has loads of information on good places to visit. We love to drive (or walk) to Chateau Du Vigiers at lunchtime and have lunch watching the golfers, two minutes from the house using the "back gate"
There is a lovely local restaurant at Monestier, about 10 minutes drive away also.Pretty Terrace for eating Al Fresco.
All in all, a wonderful Holiday Villa, and destination.
Cant wait for the next one !!
Just perfect
Having stayed at Acabanes, the other property belonging to this owner, we knew what to expect with regard to the quality and care put into creating a holiday home with a difference. We were not disappointed and once again enjoyed a very comfortable and relaxing holiday, much of it spent enjoying the view across the golf course
Wonderful Villa for Golfers and Non Golfers
We had a great holiday here, with friends. We had already holidayed at the owners other property as a family group so knew this one would also be a specialplace, and we were not disappointed. This time we holidayed with frieends, a party of four, two golfers with non golfing wives. We loved playing golf at Chateau Vigier and when not playing ,watching other golfers from the lovely front terrace. Pool area and BBQ area, superb. It was so lovely to have a heated pool in May.
Loads of places to visit and restaurants to dine at and plenty of vineyards to visit, and there is loads of information in the house. Also Tracey is only too pleased to help with anything.
Hope to return in the very near future.
A great holiday in a super villa
We enjoyed our holiday here with family, and made the most of all that the Farmhouse had to offer, lots of swimming, BBQs ,relaxing ,and chilling watching sport or a good DVd later in the evening, we went in late September and swam all the time, lovely pool.
The golfers in our group were really spoilt, and when not playing were entertained by commenting on the "skills" of the other golfers, watching from the front balcony.
I enjoyed Eymet Market on a Thursday, and having coffee in the square. Great for fresh supplies. Also went to Issigeac market on the Sunday, also super.
The Dordogne is such a lovely area, loads to see and do, cant wait to return.
