Iru Apartment 1A is on the first floor of a new small, recently built and exclusive development of 12 apartments. It has a large terrace overlooking the Pollensa bay, beach and marina at the Southern end of the famous Pine Walk, a very attractive pedestrian promenade which runs along the shoreline.
The apartment is therefore away from roads and the noise of traffic, and is within walking distance of numerous excellent restaurants, shops and all the facilities of Puerto Pollensa. Whether you just want to relax, watch the children play on the beach, which is only 20m away, or participate in water-sports, everything is within a short walking distance.
This spacious air conditioned apartment is served by a lift, has 3 double bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, a lounge, kitchen and utility, and is fully furnished and equipped in a contemporary style. The apartment is safe for children and accessible for the disabled. It is the ideal summer holiday rental.
The Pollensa area is the most attractive part of Mallorca with its amazing coastline, green landscape and pine forests, and, with the new road, is now less than a 45 minute drive from the airport. Puerto Pollensa is the port of the very attractive old historic town of Pollensa which is 3 km inland. Pollensa, is famous for its art, concerts and buildings.
Puerto Pollensa, however, has every water-sports facility within a 5 minute walk of the apartment. Whether you want to waterski, dingy sail, windsurf, kite surf, dive or have an inclination to sail the bigger yachts, they are all here. Walkers are also well provided for, runners have miles of flat promenade to exercise, and both the serious and recreational cyclist can hire their equipment here.
Pollensa Golf Club is nearby and, for the addict, there are 19 further golf courses on the island. There is no shortage of places to eat, ranging from bars for a quick snack to high highly acclaimed quality restaurants.
Puerto Pollensa has a large market every Wednesday where local produce, clothing, souvenirs, etc, can be purchased. The town square with its church is a lively traffic free focus of the local community, and, with its restaurants and bars, is a popular meeting place for the locals and visitors alike.
For those who want a hire car, it is very convenient to pick up a car at the airport and return at the end of the holiday. There are plenty of free parking spaces in Puerto Pollensa, even in the height of the season, but for those who choose to travel from the airport by taxi (80 euros approx) or bus, there are many hire companies in the town for the occasional day trip to explore the island.

The Iru Apartments were recently built on the front line, and the development is part of a group of 14 apartments, 8 of which, including apartment 1A, face the sea. Whilst the apartment faces the promenade, the marina and beach, it is partly screened by the palms, tamarind and acacia trees, and as a result enjoys views of the bay as well as maintaining its own privacy. The apartment has air-conditioning in every room. The modern fully equipped kitchen and utility provides for every need, however, the apartment is very easy to manage. A local managing agency looks after the apartment and is available to respond to that rare emergency. |

Excellent Holiday
The apartment is located in a wonderful position on the pinewalks with great views out into the bay. Ideally suited for the beach and restaurants. We had two children under the age of five so it was so easy to just walk out of the door and be on the beach etc. The apartment is very nicely furnished and what makes this different is that previous visitors leave holiday items behind for use by the next guests such as washing up liquid/powder books etc which really makes it a home from home and a special touch. The balcony/terrace is lovely and makes people watching great fun. Our lovely neighbours during the holiday suffered balcony envy due to the way it was furnished to such a high standard. Although you are situated on the front the noise level reduces dramatically after 11pm when most bars close, so is not an issue for families. We would highly recommend the Iru Restaurant below the apartment. The food is a very high standard. We would certainly return to this apartment again.
Early Season Break
We enjoyed staying in the apartment very much. For 4 days the weather was awful so we were glad that the heating was efficient and the apartment was spacious and comfortable. The second half of our holiday the weather was beautiful and we could enjoy the terrace. The location of the apartment is absolutely perfect, in the middle of everything and also quiet. We are sure that we will come back and stay in the apartment.

Picture Perfect in Puerto Pollensa
We undertook this week long break with 2 elderly ladies, one of whom is disabled and relies upon equipment to assist with her disabilities. The apartment worked very well for all of us though the only shower which was suitable for the disabled lady to access was a little tight for space but was manageable. We were able to source excellent nursing care assistance locally as well as the hire of necessary equipment both of which were arranged before our trip. Two of the 3 bedrooms are located by the lightwell at the rear of the apartment and are quiet - one is ventilated through the utility room adjoining and has no window; the air conditioning is therefore a must in the hot months. The master bedroom with fabulous open plan en-suite is stunning and opens on to the terrace at the front and is a little noisier.
The apartment was spotlessly clean, very well appointed and spacious, and provided us with everything we needed and more, including the opportunity to keep up with the events at Wimbledon via the freeview facility. We hired a car but didn't find that it was necessary as facilities are on the doorstep. Two of our party used the Resort Hoppa service to transfer from the airport and found them to be cheap and very reliable. On arrival at the Iru Apartments, it took us several attempts to actually locate the apartment as the numbering is not obvious from the corridor downstairs so a little more detail to arrivals would be helpful.
We were disappointed in the meal we ate in the IRU Restaurant downstairs but ate out twice at the Sis Pins Hotel waterfront A La Carte restaurant very reasonably and in the perfect situation right on the water at sunset. The rest of our time was spent admiring and sketching the fantastic views from the spacious and well furnished terrace, swimming in the sea, people and boat watching and listening to the various forms of live entertainment and activity going on around us, but usually finishing early enough not too spoil a night's sleep!
We visited the markets in Pollensa and Puerto Pollensa and would recommend both though PP is certainly the easiest being right on the doorstep.
I would have no hesitation in highly recommending this property .
Summer holiday
You can't do any better. The best holiday I've ever had. I would recommend it to couples and families with children. Amazing restaurants, combined with a sea front location and sandy beaches for the kids. The property is faultless, easy to manage, spacious and comfortable. Book now!
