Description
The design and interior décor are to a high standard with all home comforts. Patio doors in the living room open out on to the veranda which looks over the swimming pool surrounded by large expanses of lawned gardens adorned with flower beds and palm trees. Situated on the ground floor, the apartment provides easy access for wheelchairs, greater safety for children and others who do not wish to negotiate stairs. Private parking is 10 metres away. 10 min walk away, white sandy beaches stretch for miles in either direction flanked by dunes and small cliffs providing glorious walks. Travelling along the coast to Peniche you will encounter some stunning ocean views to the Berlenga Islands which you can visit by boat from Peniche. The islands are a nature reserve with nesting sites along the rugged cliffs and coves. The Berlengas are also a major attraction for scuba diving & this stretch of coastline is a haven for surfers. The resort boasts the 5 star Marriot with other activities.
Besides golf, there are other ways of enjoying yourself. Relax and read a book or just unwind in the sun by the sheltered pool. Take a day trip and do some leisurely sight-seeing round the fascinating nearby historic sites, browse the local shops and markets, play tennis on one of 7 all-weather, floodlit courts. No need to bring your rackets, they can be hired. In Peniche, don’t forget to stop and sample some freshly caught fish seared on the grill washed down with a bottle of 'vinho verde' a white wine unique to Portugal. Of World Heritage claim, the walled medieval city of Óbidos is close by with it’s enchanting narrow streets and picturesque houses adorned with hanging baskets laden with geraniums. You will find orange trees and purple bougainvillea around every corner. Take a panoramic walk around the battlements if you can handle the heights.
