This traditional Clare style cottage is located within its own site in Ballyvaughan village. A two minute walk, 250m, will bring you to the village and harbour. The large site allows for good car parking and generous gardens in a private and peaceful environment. The cottage sleeps seven people in four bedrooms with two double beds, four single beds and a cot. All bed linen is provided. three of the bedrooms have a shower/wash basin/toilet en suite. An additional toilet/shower room serves the rest of the cottage. A high standard of traditional hand made pine furniture complements some interesting features in the cottage.These include render plastered walls, two wooden staircases and a balcony to the first floor. The living/dining area is the main room in the cottage with a solid fuel stove set in a traditional chimney breast with wooden floors and timber clad cathedral ceiling. The kitchen has character and incorporates all the modern fittings. Electric central heating heats the water and cottage.

Ballyvaughan village is located on the south coast of Galway Bay in the heart of the Burren in County Clare,Ireland.The village grew up in the 19th century around its harbour and it developed as a small fishing port.Ballyvaughan is now known principally for its proximity to the mysterious Burren region,a mecca for botanists and walkers.The many attractions close by include Ailwee Caves,Newtown Castle,Cliffs of Moher,Bishops Quarter beach,Fanore Beach,the Green roads and the mountain/sea views at Black Head.There is fishing and boat hire from the harbour.Ballyvaughan village is very well services by its pubs,shops and restaurants. The village is within driving distance of Galway,Ennis and Limerick cities.
