The moment that you enter ‘Windward’ you will begin to experience an atmosphere of informal luxury. The large airy entrance approached through landscaped gardens draws you straight to cool tropical furnishings of the spacious living room and then the spectacular views beyond of the tranquil aquamarine waters of the lagoon through the sun terrace. You will be soothed by the gentle breeze of the Tradewinds wafting through the apartment to bring a refreshing feel to this tropical climate.
This unusually large, comfortable, air conditioned apartment has everything for the perfect holiday or extended stay, including laundry facilities, a well appointed kitchen with its open counter through to the living room, two large bedrooms each with their own marble tiled bathrooms, a dining/sun lounging terrace, a plunge pool, and one of the most idyllic beaches in Barbados.

Buses – brilliant hair-raising rides for about $1 run along the west coast and all over the island.
Car Hire - the best option if you wish to spend most of the holiday touring around the island.
Port St Charles is 500m north of the small historic town of Speightstown. Here the sugar cane harvested in the north of the island was brought to be shipped by coaster to Bridgetown.Many old buildings remain from this era, and a museum can be visited to explain. But fishing has also been very important.
Here Caribbean life is as it has been for hundreds of years, with the fishermen bringing in the day's catch to be sold at the town's fish market, the colorfully dressed ladies by the side of the main street selling fresh fruit and vegetables, the general hustle and bustle of a genuine Caribbean 'town'. There are also small supermarkets, a variety of shops, art galleries, rum bars, and restaurants. The more modern Holetown is 15 min and Bridgetown the capital 30 min away. Travel by bus (a hair raising ride in a yellow bus for $1) or more sedately by car or taxi.
Bathsheba and the wild rugged East Atlantic coast is about 20 minutes away. Between PSC and there enjoy visiting Plantation Houses, working Sugar Cane fields, villages, Sea Caves, the hills of Scotland, Chalky Mount potteries, amazing vistas, limestone caves and much more.

The Spacious Master Bedroom is superbly appointed, and boasts a luxurious king size bed, oodles of wardrobe and shelf space. A chaise lounge and arm chair allow you to relax and watch cable TV in the seclusion of your room. After a day on the beach, slip into the marble bathroom with double washbasins, shower and bath. Double French doors from this bedroom lead onto the terrace where the plunge pool and day beds invite you to relax and enjoy the view of the beautiful waters of the lagoon. Port St Charles residents have exclusive use of 2 swimming pools, 2 tennis courts, a gymnasium, sun loungers and umbrellas on the beach, the water taxi at your beck and call to transport you to anywhere within Port St Charles, the Sunset Isle with Pool, Bar and Restaurant. You also have the option to use Port St Charles Yacht Club and Restaurant (which is subject to temporary membership charges. Special deal at the moment from July to November 30th of $50 USD). We fell in love with Port St Charles the first time we drove past the gated entry in 2002. We were exploring the Northern part of the island, and just had to stop and view this delightful place. Construction was still going on, but the place was so beautifully managed it didn’t matter. We viewed several apartments, but the added bonus of a Plunge Pool on the terrace and being close to the water left us with no option but to choose Windward. We have had no regrets since. The ambiance in the apartment and in Port St Charles is so relaxing and refreshing. It is a delight to walk around Port St Charles taking in the beautiful tropical gardens and being engulfed by the heavy scent of flowers. We are also so fortunate to have one of the best swimming/ snorkeling/ sunbathing beaches on the island, and despite all beaches in Barbados being public the beach at Port St Charles is never busy.

Directions
Direct daily flights from Gatwick airport. BA and Virgin. Virgin also fly from Manchester on Sundays. Port St Charles is 19 miles from Grantley Adams Airport (about 40 minutes). Direct flights from Canada and the US.
Taxis can be prearranged to transport you door to door.,or if you prefer, car hire can be pre arranged for collection and return at the airport in Barbados. I will inform you of Taxi and Car Hire companies in the 'information pack' you will receive when a booking is made.

Windward is stunning! Like a 5* suite with really practical extras (washing machine/tumble dryer), large american fridge, big beds, white company linen, loads of towels, fab welcome package (tea,coffee, sugar, bread, milk,juice,cheese,butter,beer,rum punch!). Brilliant having reception & security on entrance as there is always friendly advice available (they are very happy to order taxis, make dinner reservations and you also have the use of the guest laptop). My 4 year old loved getting the water taxi to the beach (picks you up from apartment terrace). Only takes 2mins but such a treat! Loungers & parasols put out for you on a beautiful beach - where you can relax or take a dip in the lovely clear water. We took bread down to the rock pools in the afternoon and the most amazing tropical fish would come and say hello! Also spotted a turtle. We went deep sea fishing and caught a fish which we cooked on the outside grill. A truly stunning spot which we will revist, and that we have some really special memories of.

The best vacation ever

Perfectly designed and furnished appartment in the best and only private yacht marina. Quiet and luxurious place. Fantastic beach. Highly recommended for people searching for stylish vacation.Some award winnig restaurants in a short drive distance. The owner is giving a lot of helpful tips. When in Barbados definitely stay here again.
