Description
Brialli Cottage is a comfortable, well equipped 200 year old traditional Cornish cottage set in peaceful countryside close to the sea. Minutes through lovely Cornish lanes to beautiful beaches, stunning coastline, picturesque Polperro and the bustling towns of Looe and Fowey- home to Dapne du Maurier. Simply but tastefully furnished a wonderful retreat whatever the weather, with its open fire, multi fuel burner and full central heating.
The cottage has full central heating which is included in the rental. Initial supply of coal and or logs for open fire and multi-fuel burner. The telephone only accepts incoming calls, however outgoing emergency service calls can be made. Sorry no pets/no smoking (visitors may smoke in the garden).
Sloping access from lower garden and parking area to front door -1 small step to enter cottage - ground floor entirely level. Stairs to first floor. Alternative access to lower garden and flat grassed area is by steps from the kitchen. There are further steps to the second part of the garden.
Coast/Beach
Talland bay - 1.5 miles /5 mins drive - sandy beach, rockpools, beach cafe, easy parking close to beach. Lansallos beach (National Trust) 10 mins drive - featured on 'Coast' - walk through sunken lane to lovely cove - popular with families. Coastal path easily accessible at many points, only minutes away - also many other beaches and coves - often deserted!
Golf
There are several golf courses in the area:
Carlyon Bay - 12 miles.
St. Austell - 14 miles.
Whitsand Bay - 8 miles.
Lanhydrock - 12 miles.
Lostwithiel - 10 miles.
Pelynt -1 mile - well stocked Spar with ATM machine and post office, good butcher, petrol garage and Jubilee Inn. Looe - 3 miles- small supermarket, banks, shops, restaurants, pubs etc. Liskeard - market town with large supermarkets, banks and shops.
