Fabulous 2 bedroom house with private pool and ocean views

Looking for a breathtaking ocean view? Look no further. This house on the west coast of the Nicoya peninsula in Costa Rica is surrounded by jungle on one side and second-to-none ocean views on the other.

The house has two bedrooms and two bathrooms, as well as a loft on the top floor. In the loft, you will find a large living room with couches complete with Direct TV, desk, and panoramic views of sea and jungle. The kitchen has an abundance of appliances that will make you feel right at home. Just outside the kitchen is a dining table that seats six. Each bedroom has a double bed, both opening up to the beautiful views and sounds of the surrounding wildlife. Each bedroom has an adjoining bathroom with large showers. There is also a corner couch perfect for an afternoon siesta or for extra guests or for children to sleep on.

You live outside in Costa Rica - the only time you go inside is to sleep! On the ground floor there is a large terrace area with dining table and chairs, rocking chairs, hammock, and 2 sunbeds by the plunge pool. As the beach is close we didn’t build a large pool, more to dip in to when you can bear to rouse yourself from your sunbed! On the first floor there is a large balcony with seating area. The comfortable padded lounge chairs, hammock and plunge pool all have fabulous ocean views.

There is a live in caretaker (Freddy) who lives in a separate annexe at the side of the house. He speaks good English and his partner does the cleaning, washing and will prepare a typical Costa Rican Breakfast if you wish. They keep to themselves but they are always willing to help should you need it. He also works on the Samara Canopy Tour which is close to the house.

Samara is located on the West coast of Nicoya Peninsula. Casa Monica is set on the hills overlooking Samara Beach which is a growing beach town with an international community. The village itself parallels the beach providing restaurants and bars that spill out into the three mile palm lined core. It’s a 20 minute. walk to the beach and a 5 minute drive to downtown Samara.



Playa Carrillo, the next beach south of Samara, offers up more clear blue/green waters with perfect size waves for people of any age to enjoy. This especially beautiful beach is lined with palm trees and harbors the occasional sailboat. Both Samara and Carrillo are perfect for long walks in the morning or at sunset. Sit in a hammock in the shade, enjoy the ocean breezes and allow yourself to slip into a different state of mind. There are endless activities on offer in Costa Rica for those who want them. For example, Ostonial Refuge, a turtle nesting area is a 45 minute drive. You can get to the Monteverde Cloud Forest in two hours, or Arenal Volcano in three hours. Closer to home you can go kayaking, diving, snorkelling, sport fishing, surfing, hiking, horseriding, birdwatching, take canopy tours, dine in fabulous restaurants – the list is endless! ... read more »hide »
