Villa Durazno is an electrically gated property of approx. 12,000sq ft comprising of a main villa with pool and detached house for staff.

There are 5 large suites ( sleeping up to 12 people ) mostly with balconies and stunning views, one with outside shower and the master with its own private garden and sun bathing terrace, 8 bathrooms, an American style Chef's kitchen with two dish washers ice making machines two sinks and centre island with breakfast bar. There is a cinema, entertainment and games room, bar, wine cellar, office, gymnasium and laundry room. The property enjoys satellite TV, wireless internet throughout. Although Villa Durazno is self-catering, an all inclusive option is available from our experienced chef. Special diets can be catered for by prior arrangement.

A variety of Spa treatments including massage, facials, manicure, pedicure waxing etc... can be arranged for you in the comfort of your villa – no locker rooms or changing areas, or driving to and from the Spa -just get up from your sun lounger, and return to your suite where your therapist will be waiting to welcome you. (If the villa is not fully occupied, a dedicated Spa Room can be set up)

There are many different styles and sizes of boats readily available for hire at reasonable prices. Share the experience with a group of friends and take along a picnic, snorkelling equipment and " ample beverages" and find your own private tropical paradise - enjoy exploring the deserted white sandy coves, some of which are accessible only by sea.

There are many companies offering Wave Runners, Jet Skis and Parasail boating for hire within 10 – 15 minutes from your Villa. Explore the local coastline and deserted coves and stop off at a Hotel restaurant or bar for a drink or some lunch.

Costa Rica is an angler's dreams come true. The country's Pacific ports and beach resorts provide access to some the best deep-sea fishing in the world, and have long been known for their world-class Sailfish, Marlin, Yellow fin Tuna and Dorado Sport Fishing, while the canals and rivers offer snook and tarpon fishing. Billfish are the country's biggest attractions, with abundant sailfish and marlin off the Pacific coast, but the fishermen also hook plenty of other feisty fighters, such as Wahoo and roosterfish. Deep sea fishing is the country's forte, there is also great fresh water fishing in Lake Arenal and the larger rivers in the Northern Zone, where anglers can fight with the small but ornery guapote, a hump-backed fish also known as the rainbow bass. The prime fishing season is December – May, which is also the dry season, and brings calm seas, but you can catch fish year- round because the Gulf of Nicoya is a magnet for the many different species of baitfish. The waters abound with whales, dolphins, turtles, manta rays, and many other species of marine life throughout the year.

Costa Rica’s first public golf course is situated near Coco and Papagayo Golf and Country Club and is located in Libertad, about 10K south-east from Playas del Coco. It has a 9 and 18 hole courses, a practice tee, driving range and club house. The area offers several international golf courses and The Four Seasons Hotel also has the most spectacular and stunning course.

World-class surfing at Witches Rock and Ollie’s point can be reached by escorted surfing tours by boat from Coco Beach.

The mountainous area and heavy rainfall during the ‘Green Season’ make Costa Rica one of the best white water river selections in the world. These trips provide great excitement, and there are a good selection of excursions that cater not only to those with experience but for families and beginners too, with wonderful scenery and bird watching. Many visitors experience the thrill of rafting for the first time here in Costa Rica. Life vests and helmets are provided ensuring safe but exciting excursions.

Costa Rica - literally meaning ‘rich coast’ in Spanish boasts a phenomenal abundance of wildlife in all its forms. The bird species alone number over 890!! It is one of the most bio-diverse places on earth, with rainforests, mangrove swamps, cloud forests and a plethora of plant and animal life that add up to make this tiny Latin American country the place to be.

Costa Rica has quite a cowboy culture!! This tradition is primarily based in the province of Guanacaste, one of the first parts of the country to be settled by the Spanish, where vast cattle ranches cover rolling hills and forest-draped volcanoes tower above it all. Mountain resorts and nature lodges located all over the country offer horseback excursions, which can head through pastures, topical forests, or along the beaches – often stopping at waterfalls and swimming holes. Costa Rica has two seasons – the dry season from late November to mid April and the rainy season from May to mid November. This is a general guide as there are also many microclimates depending on which side of the country you plan to visit. VILLA DURAZNO is situated in Playa Panama in the province of Guanacaste on the Pacific side and boasts one of Costa Rica’s most desirable climates being the sunniest region.
