Large self-catering apartment in the Torviscas area of Playa de las Americas. It is approximately 10-15 minutes walk from the centre of Torviscas and a short taxi drive into the centre of las Americas. The complex is small, well run and our apartment enjoys the best location on the complex.
It has a huge balcony with great views over the ocean and Torviscas area. It gets the sun all day and there's nothing better than sitting back on the balcony, under the pergola, drink in hand, watching the sun setting behind the neighbouring island of Gomera.
It is fully equipped for your stay. The kitchen has a 4-ring electric hob, full oven, fridge/freezer, microwave and toaster. The living room is very comfortable with two sofas, private phone line,TV (with access to BBC1 & 2 and ITV) and a DVD player with a small collection of DVDs.From the living room you can access the balcony through the large patio doors. The bedroom has 2 single beds, chest-of-drawers and built in wardrobe. Both the bedroom and living room have ceiling fans.
It is a lovely apartment and is ideally located if you are hiring a car where you can park in the cul-de-sac right outside the front door.
The Aquapark, Toby Jug pub, Pirate pub and Phoenix restaurant are approx. 5 minutes walk from the complex.
There is a supermarket near to the complex which stocks all manner of British foods as well as Spanish.
The complex has a nice swimming pool, with pool bar offering drinks and snacks during the day.The reception is next to the pool area and the staff there will be happy to offer advice and assistance.
The apartment is managed to the highest standard by a company owned and run by a british couple. In the event of an emergency, they can be reached on their mobile phone. They are also available at their offices in Los Cristianos to solve any problems or answer any questions you might have.

A good,quiet and safe appartment
A good appartment with a huge balcony and a splendid view in a safe surrounding. For a quiet and beautifull holyday.
peace /bliss!
Just back from a week end Feb 2009. Very nice apartment, peace and quiet. Great view, lots of sun all day and shade too. Owners very good to deal with. Also, great security gates made you feel safe, reccomended for quiet break, hire a car and its even better!
TOTAL RELAXATION
We have just returned from a 2 week stay in this beautiful apartment. We had a very positive experience---- from the very first phone call to the owner (who was the very essence of courtesy and helpfulness) to our return home. The whole rental procedure was smooth and trouble free. The apartment itself was situated in a quiet, private, gated and secure complex. It was clean, tidy and fully equipped. The kitchen contained everything you need, all in good working order and the freezer was a big bonus. There was a great selection of cutlery and crockery and a nice range of condiments. The lounge was very spacious and comfortable with excellent TV reception and a nice stock of DVDs, books, games etc----enough to satisfy all tastes. The bedroom was large with two very comfortable single beds and good wardrobe space. The bathroom was clean and equipped with a magnificent powerful shower. Leaving the best “wine” to the last: The crowning glory of our stay was the large sunny south facing balcony. We estimated that it was nearly 30 feet long and 13 feet wide!! It was equipped with comfortable sun loungers plus table and chairs. It also contained a barbecue and portable clothes line. Approximately half the balcony was nicely shaded by a well positioned pergola……this was appreciated as the balcony got sun from dawn to dusk. The panoramic sea views from the balcony were truly magnificent……….the photographs on the website hardly do it justice. We had hired a car from the airport so we cannot comment about the hill climb etc but there seemed to be plenty of taxis about. It is important to closely follow the owner’s guidelines when instructing taxis as it is best to approach the complex from the rear. The complex as a whole was well maintained with a nice sized clean pool, bar/bistro and friendly helpful reception staff. ALL IN ALL A MOST RELAXING AND ENJOYABLE HOLIDAY---WE WOULD LOVE TO RETURN SOMETIME!
A memorable holiday
I am only too pleased to write this review about my recent holiday. The description of the apartment was every thing that was described, with many plusses for the magnificient views from the balcony which is a sun trap from sun up till sunset and should not be missed. The location is suitable with or with out a car as was the case for myself (with out). I am fortunate that I have no dissabilities and enjoy walking so I walked down the Hill and returned by taxi which were always readily available and reasonably priced. I would not reccomend the location to any one that has walking or breathing difficulities if they don't have the use of a car. There is a particular restaurant quite near called Molino- Blanco which more than fits the bill for a holiday treat.
PLEASE READ THIS!!!
We have just come back from our holiday, staying at this apartment. The selling point of this property is the fantastic, very large balcony! The photo does not do it justice! It is very large, with half of it covered by a pagola, to allow great shade when it justs gets too hot for sunbathing. The apartment is a good size inside as well. It is a great walk down to the main resort area, only took us 10 minutes down. Lovely well maintained complex, which seems to be on the quiet side, which we loved, nice pool area too.Great views from the balcony. We were happy, and would go back there again. MANY THANKS!!
one week of serenity
We have just spent a week in the apartment, it was tidy, clean, well equipped , comfortable and peaceful. You do need a car to travel around as getting up the hill from the beach takes a good 15 minutes to walk .
The view from the apartment is well worth it and every evening we would watch the sun go down over the sea, breathtaking!
A very quiet apartment as it is at the top of the resort but peaceful, we will certainly try to book the apartment again, in the near future.
Perfect for rest and relaxation
My husband and I stayed here for 10 days at the end of Nov 2011.
Every year we have a family holiday and then we go away and leave the children at home with Grandma. This was our time together.
We wanted peace and quiet, sun, and not to be too far from the action should we want it.
This apartment certainly ticked all the boxes.
From the first email sent,Keri was very helpful and replied very quickly with lots of useful information and answered any questions i asked,no matter how stupid, lol.
We booked in the May,so it was a long wait, but well worth it!
We arrived at night so it was dark and couldn't see the view, but the next morning when we looked out, wow, stunning. As others have said, the pictures really don't show just how lovely it is.
The apartment has everything you need and was clean and tidy and the balcony....Massive! Sun all day.
It was great everyday to roll out of bed and on to a sun lounger and i have to say,the beds are comfy unlike so many others i have slept in.
There are English tv channels, should you want to watch them and the bonus for us was paying the small fee for wifi. We were able to Skype home every couple of days to speak to the children and Grandma, and show them the view via webcam, just to rub it in,lol.
As the apartment is at the top of the complex there are great views of the sea and the surrounding area and yes,a steep hill to navigate on the way back after going to the beach or the shops.
We are late 30s so fairly fit and like to walk.
The only time we used the taxis to go back to the apartment, was after we had been to the supermarket. We were not to prepared to lug the shopping up the hill as well as ourselves.
We saw lots of people of all different ages around this area,so as long as you have no major issues with walking, then this wouldn't be a problem.
We walked into Los Cristianos and back, the other way to Caleta and back and further up into the hills behind the apartment,in fact,we did lots of walking all over the place, the scenery in this area is lovely.
We loved playa Fanabe, this is where we ate out on a few of the evenings. So many restaurants and bars trying to entice you in. Just do what we did and haggle a free drink or a discount if you go in,lol.
We loved The Blue Cactus. 3 course for 7.95 euro and a free glass of wine on the 1st night.
If you want a supermarket, there is one in San Eugenio shopping centre,Mercedona, down the escalators. Pay no more than 3 euros to get back to the apartment and make sure you tell them the road name,or they will drop you at the front of the complex and there are a lot of steps up!
If you fancy some water park action, then Aqualand is a 5 min roll down the hill,in fact, you can see it from the balcony.
There are a few bars and restaurants also about 5 mins roll down the hill. The first night we arrived after unpacking,we went for a walk and ended up in the Tudor Rose pub where we got chatting to Audrey(owner)who gave us info and told us where to find things in the area and Jose, her husband, then entertained us til the small hours, lol. We then grabbed a takeout pizza on the way back to the apartment.
All in all,we had an absolutely brilliant time,in a lovely apartment well situated in a lovely area.
We are just waiting for flights to go on sale for the same time next year,so we can book up to go again.
We will be hiring a car next time though,as there is so much more we want to see and what a great base to do it from.
We'd recommend this apartment just on the basis of the views. We looked at a lot of places on the internet before booking this one and now having been to Tenerife and seen the area,we know we made the right choice.
It's priced at the cheaper end of the scale, you have no one above you and the views would be hard to beat.
And out of all the emails i sent to people about other apartments,Keri,by far was the most helpful which for us was another deciding factor.
Thanks for a great 1st experience of Tenerife. :)
Keri
