Villa Elizabeth is positioned well, with sea, lighthouse and Fuerteventura views from the patio and balcony areas. The villa has off-road parking, with large open aspect to rear. Ground floor access to all areas through front door.
Villa Elizabeth is in an exclusive and tranquil area, yet only minutes away from the centre of Playa Blanca, with all it has to offer.Only a 2 minute walk from the Villa, brings you to a selection of bars, restaurants and mini supermarkets. There is also a bakery where you get your fresh bread and croisants.a picnic will also be prepared for you on request.
Also only a 2 minute walk away is the sea, and its rocky coastline, with a promanade walk.So close to the sea, you will hear the waves crashing on to the rocks from your Villa. The nearset beach, is a small one and is within a good walk away, not far from the Rubican Palace Hotel.A bit further afied, is the Flamingo Beach, with a section of bars and cafes to hand. Town Beach, as its name suggests, is right in the centre of town. The best beach in the area though, is Playa Dorada, with all the amenities, including para-gliding, boats and the bannana ride.Just outside the town, are the famous Papagayo Beaches. These are in a protected area, with no real amenities, and are therefore totally unspoilt, and are very popular with locals and tourists alike.

BEACHES There are some of the best beaches on Lanzarote here in Playa Blanca. The nearest to the villa, and within a good walk away, is the Natura Beach, only small and not the best, but not crowded, and its near a café and bar, and also near the Mulata Centre. The Flamingo Beach is the next one along, only recently reopened after it was washed away by a storm, and worth a visit, and again near bars and restaurants. Town beach is as its name suggests, right in the centre of town, with all its amenities, though you do feel you are in a goldfish bowl at times, as its so close to the promenade and shops. The best beach near the town is the next one along, Playa Dorada Beach, which is in front of the Princess Yaiza. There are many water sports there, banana boats, para -gliding etc, and there are also life-guards present. You often get a Chinese girl offering a massage, I have to say, having had one, she is very good, and worth the money. Further a field, you have the marvellous Papagayo Beaches. These are in a protected area, and so are uncommerialised, no sun beds here, but the beaches are great nevertheless. You can get there by car by a long dirt track, and pay in the car park, not only are you not supposed to in a hire car, but its an awful drive along a bumpy road. There are other alternatives to get there, one is to drive to the Papagayo Arena, and park up, and walk to the beach, 10 minutes. If you are feeling energetic you can cycle there, wouldn’t consider walking from the villa, too much of a hike. You could get the bus to Las Coloradas, and again walk from the Papagayo Arena. The way we like to go, is to get a water taxi from the Harbour, and then they will transfer you to the beach by an inflatable dingy, great fun. LOCAL RESTAURANTS AND BARS. There are many good restaurants in Playa Blanca, and the great thing about being in a Villa, is that you are not tied to a boring All Inclusive . Close to the villa, you have a selection of bars, shops and restaurants., including The lighthouse, which do an excellent Sunday lunch buffet, best to reserve a table though, its very popular. If you fancy an Italian, try the Pizzeria Del Trevisano, not only pizzas, but also Meat, Fish and Pasta dishes. Slightly further on ,you will come across the La Mulata Centre, its on the way to the town, just past The Rubicon Palace Hotel down on your right. Here you will find Sebastyans Greek restaurant, one or our favourites, and again best to book. They serve not only the usual Greek fare, but also Kangaroo, Ostrich and Venison. Also there is El Argentino, a steak house, and Fazz’s, a recently opened Indian. Next door to Sebastyans is a really good chill-out bar, Manea, overlooking the sea, you might not want to leave, specially if you are on the day beds! In Playa Blanca itself, there are many restaurants to choose from, all very good, but we prefer to eat on the front to appreciate the sea views. . Further on is the Rubicon Marina, again with many bars, shops and restaurants. Here you will find another Fazzs’, which is a very good Indian Restaurant . Another one of our local eateries is Lanis’ snack bar, very reasonable with good views, specially of the large fish which swim around the marina. PLACES TO VISIT. El Golfo is a nearby village, were the coach trips go to see the Green Lagoon, but missing out the village itself, which is a shame as its got loads of good sea-view restaurants, and its a typical small ,Canarian town. Travelling North towards Teguise, head for Nazaret, where you will find one of our favourite places to visit, Lag-O-Mar. Set in an old quarry in an elevated position with great views, legend has it that Omar Sharif owned the house for 1 day, only to lose it in a game of cards. Apparently he was so upset, he swore never to return to Lanzarote again. Teguise the old capital is best known for its Sunday Market, the largest on the Island. If you drive there yourself, there is easy parking as you approach the town, were for a small fee you can park up. There is no parking in the town itself on a Sunday. Teguise is also worth visiting in the week, when it returns to a sleepy traditional town, great just to wander through the cobbled streets. Worth finding is an artists house , were he has some amazing, and unusual exhibits in his garden. Guatiza, is home to the Jardin De Cactus, which was Cesar Manriques last work. It really is worth visiting, as it has a stunning collection of cacti. Just a short drive further on is Arrieta, a small fishing village. We use to go there quite frequently, as do a lot of locals, as there is a really good beach restaurant near the small pier, which serves excellent food, and is very reasonably priced. Further North is Jameos del Aqua and Cuevde los Verdes, both on the well trodden tourist map, but well worth a visit all the same. At the top of the Island you will find Mirador del Rio, with great views towards La Graciosa, and also if you love driving, some spectacula

It is 30 minute drive to the villa from the airport. Though car hire is recommended, it is not essential as there is an excellent bus service in Playa Blanca, were you can travel anywhere in the town for 1 euro 15 cents.
There is also a ferry service in the town with regular sailings to Fuerteventura.
We can organize airport transfer for you at £40 return for up to 4 people, £60 up to 6.
We will send you directions to the Villa once booked.
