Description
The Old Brewhouse (sleeps 5) is a comfortable and charming place to stay by the week from Saturday to Saturday. Our guests usually spend some of their time relaxing on the Bamff estate: walking the dog, playing football on the lawn, or just enjoying the peace and quiet. The rest of the time they explore the many possibilities of the wider area.
The Old Brewhouse is a well-built Victorian building, a cottage-like wing of the big house, converted in 2000 by renowned architects, retaining many original features. It has three bedrooms, a double, a twin and single, a small sitting room with wood burning stove, a fully equipped kitchen, bathroom with bath/shower, and a porch with washing machine and deep freeze.
Logs, linen and towels are provided. Electricity is extra. The meter is read on arrival and departure.
With advance notice, it is often possible to have a kitchen or Dining room dinner in the big house.
Please arrive after 4pm and leave by 10am the following Sat.
This Bamff, not to be confused with the other Banff, in the far North-East of Scotland, lies in the rolling uplands of North-East Perthshire. The gentle and tranquil beauty of the place commends itself to our visitors and their children. Those who come from the frenzied existence of present day urban life enjoy the slower pace that the country offers. At the same time Bamff is a good point of departure for those who wish to visit places of interest in this and other parts of the Highlands and North-Eastern Scotland.
