Old Smiddy cottage is located in beautiful countryside 10 miles from Perth. It is perfect for families and ideal for a relaxing or touring holiday. Many of scotland's famous tourist attractions are easily visited on day trips. It is also ideal for golfers, fishermen, shooters or groups of friends
We invite you to come and self-cater in our family home and experience a real Scottish holiday in a homely and relaxing atmosphere.
There are three bedrooms. There is one double. One twin and one double or twin. A cosy room, country kitchen and a large Smiddy lounge. There are two zed beds for children
To ensure that you enjoy the unique character of the cottage, we have left many of our treasured possessions, books and games for your enjoyment.
OLD SMIDDY LOUNGE
The original blacksmith's shop is now our large comfortable lounge with old beams where you can relax in front of the open inglenook log fire. ...Listen to the fire crackle and smell the wood smoke, or dine by candlelight at the antique oak table.
In the corner by the fire are the old bellows and smithy tools. The horse shoes and horse brasses are a reminder of days gone by. There is a hi-fi and we have left our books and games for your entertainment.

Sit by the log burner. Read a book, watch TV, discuss the days events, plan for tomorrow or just relax
OLD SMIDDY KITCHEN
Enjoy our fully equipped pine country kitchen with Aga cooker and antique pine dresser. Taste our delicious free range eggs or locally produced food from The Farmers Market.
B&B available for last minute short breaks. £25 -£35ppn. 3 night minimum.

The Old Smiddy Cottage has ample parking space and a large fenced garden with patio. There are 12 hens to provide you with fresh eggs each day!

Directions
From A9 north. Take B9099 to Stanley. Half a mile beyond village turn left on road signposted to Kinclaven & Blairgowrie. The Old Smiddy is 2.2 miles along this road by the road side. ( Not up the lane where the Sat Nav would take you.)
From A93. Turn left after the Isla Bridge or right at the bottom of the Beech Hedge. Take first left and the Old Smiddy is 2 miles along this road on the right just beyond the Ballathie House Hotel entrance.
