The Mas de la Laiterie is a splendid authentic refurbished old farm nearby all the commodities of a picturesque village:
Located in a calm and enchanting place, this farmhouse used to be the Pernes’ dairy and will charm you by its old Provencal furniture and its great comfort commodities. It will please you with its luxuriant garden, its shadowed corners as well as its magnificent secured and large swimming pool (13 x 6m) bordered by old palms.
This superb residence made of exposed stones is composed of a spacious living room (55m²) with beautiful heights under the ceilings opened on the old style kitchen. You will love the large Provencal chimney and the solarium bedroom terrace. The house is opened on a vast terrace under the shadow of the old mulberry tree from where you can enjoy the sunsets for your long summer evenings with dinners and barbecues.
Whether you wish to explore some of the finest hilltop villages in Provence or just relax under our shady palms or by a lovely log fire in the winter, you will be warmly welcomed.
The Mas de la Laiterie is ideally located 10km from the Luberon National Park in the quaint village of Pernes les Fontaines, just 20 km away from Avignon historical town and theater festival, 50 km from stylish Aix en Provence, Cezanne s hometown, and one hour away from Marseille. It is a perfect base for discovering the stunning medieval villages of the region and some of the famous postcard sceneries of Provence. Within a radius of 20 km, you will find l'Isle sur la Sorgue with its antiques market, Gordes and its traditional stone houses, Fontaine de Vaucluse and the Mount Ventoux so called the giant of Provence. And since it is entirely acceptable to be a bit lazy when on holiday, you won t have to walk more than 200m to reach all village shops (satursay and weanesday provenca markets, bakery, grocery, butcher, pharmacy, 5 restaurants and the tourist office).

Perfection in Provence
This beautiful property combines the peace of the country with the facilities of the village. You could be in the middle of nowhere, so private and peaceful is it, yet you are within a few minutes walk of the heart of the village and its shops, bars, restaurants and Saturday morning market. Pernes is also central for many interesting places to visit.
The house has been restored with great care and style. It is comfortable, spacious, light, well equipped and well furnished. The garden is private and interesting with many mature trees and hidden places to read a book quietly in the shade (or in full sun).
The owner is very helpful; when we said we would be arriving late on a Sunday evening he booked a local restaurant on our behalf. It was superb.
Highlights of our holiday: picking figs for breakfast from the beautiful tree in the garden, sipping wine on the terrace in the sunset, cooling off in the pool.
A Little Piece of Heaven
This tranquil haven will be just want you want it to be - a beautifully planted country idyll full of peace and possibility, yet on the edge of charming Pernes Les Fontaines with its fountains, boulangeries (best ever bread - pain du Beaucet) ramparts and restaurants. A short walk in the opposite direction takes you to the wild and winding Canal de Carpentras, scented with different wild flowers each season and overtones of rosemary and thyme, where you can stroll or bike among the birch, pines, bamboo and vines.
The house itself is beautiful, well equipped, light, spacious and cool. You can while away the hours hidden on the sheltered first floor terrace, in full sun lounging around the pool, pondering life under the pomegranate tree and catching the sunset over aperatifs.
The garden is abundantly planted - apparently the previous owner was gifted a new tree every birthday and you can see that he enjoyed his time at Mas de la Laiterie for many years. If you do decide to venture into this little piece of heaven, I need to warn you that you will want to return to recapture that little piece of your heart that you may leave here.
