Bansko enjoys a relatively short but very warm summer and long winter producing excellent snow conditions. Due to a multi-million Euro project Bansko ski area has recently seen the installation of new lifts, including an eight-person gondola, adding to the popularity of the resort. The ski area is particularly well suited to beginners and intermediates, with slopes also giving access to some good off-piste skiing, snowboarding and night skiing.
There are 10 mountain restaurants and a 16km snow packed run all the way back to the village, where you can end your day at the popular Apre Ski Bar. There is always snow due to the sophisticated snow cannons and well maintained pistes and Bansko boast a superb modern Gondola and lots of high speed chair lifts which will whisk you up to the highest, freshest and energetic snow-capped ski slopes, half pipes and snowboard facilities.
The lifts and pistes operator in Bansko takes care of your maximum comfort with the 8-man Gondola cable car by Doppelmayer, five 4-seat lifts of the latest Doppelmayer models, one 3-seat lift by Poma, 6 drags and 10 baby drags. The easy access to all lifts is secured by chip-cards from SkiData.
The existence of excellent quality crisp white snow on 65 kilometers of marked ski runs and ski roads is made possible by their regular maintenance by 12 Kassbohrer snow grooming machines. Snow is guaranteed from December until May by 40 TechnoAlpin snow cannons.
Individually designed by the owners to a high standard, this beautiful apartment offers exceptional comfort and facilities. Use of the heated indoor pool, Sauna, steam room and Gym are all available. The apartments spacious entrance hall provides ample room for coats, shoes, ski gear and luggage with doors leading from the hall to the lounge, bedroom and shower room. The well-designed bathrooms both have heated towel rails, 1 is a shower room with WC the En Suite has a separate shower WC and beautiful double jacuzzi bath, both have ample towels– a welcome haven to reflect, relax and recharge, after a good days skiing. The dining table is extendable and seats 8 with plenty of crockery, glasses & anything else you (or we) could think of thrown in. The lounge has a comfortable 3 piece suit which includes a sofa bed. All the furniture in the lounge is solid sheesham wood & the cosy log fire adds atmostphere & warmth for those relaxing family evenings in! (Logs are available from the Reception) There is also a TV, DVD and stereo player available with a selection of board games, music cd’s and films for your enjoyment. Each bedroom has its own balcony with views of the mountains and is furnished with mirrored wardrobes, plenty of hangers, a dressing table, bed side units and wall lights. The inviting bedrooms all have soft pillows and crisp linens on the beds, hairdryers and ample storage space…..a tranquil and private haven to retreat to, when the need for quiet comes upon you. The beds can be made up to either twins or king size depending on your requirements. The luxury kitchen with under unit lighting and breakfast bar is fully fitted, with oven, hob & extractor, microwave, toaster, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and washer/dryer and plenty of good quality crockery to ensure that you are short of nothing. There has been no expense spared to make your stay as luxurious enjoyable as possible. The apartment is appromimaly 300m from the Gondola, & there is a free shuttle bus running every 15 mins there and back for use by Mountain Paradise guests.
