The master bedroom has a double bed, en-suite bath room and toilet and access through double doors to a balcony. The second bedroom is equipped with two single beds which can be placed one on top of the other to form bunk beds. There is also another bed stored in the garage so that the bedroom could, if necessary be turned into a dormitory for up to 3 children.
The living room has a double sofa bed and a standard sofa. The kitchen and dining areas are equipped for 6 people. The living room has access to two separate balconies through sliding doors. All the rooms offer stunning mountain views
We have set the apartment up like this so that a variety of requirements can be met. Two couples or a family of four can use the apartment in its standard form, with a further two people using the sofa bed in the living room. The extra bunk beds were designed so that if two families wanted to use the apartment together then the dormitory could be set up for all the children with the master bedroom and the living room being used by the grown ups.
The apartment also has a ski cave for the storage of skis and other equipment and a garage.(Please note that the garage will be to full of “boys toys” to get your car into but offers secure storage for mountain bikes or other large items you may bring with you). The apartment is newly built for the 2007 season which means that the facilities that it offers are second to none. The apartment is our second home and as such offers much more than a standard holiday rent would offer. All furniture and equipment is brand new. The dining area is set up for 6. The living room has a TV video and DVD player and numerous video’s, DVD’s and books to keep you entertained. Broadband Internet will also be installed when available in Nyon.
The kitchen is equipped with a dishwasher, hob, cooker and microwave as well as a full set of pots, pans and the normal cooking utensils. (Bedding household linen cleaning or maid service and a meet and greet service can be arranged for a small fee see the prices and availability section)
Because the apartment is a private home the garage holds a number of bikes, golf clubs, tennis rackets etc. etc. all of which are at the disposal of our guests and their children.
While the apartment is fully equipped for self catering there is a restaurant a few yards away and many more in the Town. The area has so many things to do in both winter and summer you will be spoilt for choice. Morzine is the main town in the very centre of the Ports du Soleil ski region which straddles the French Swiss border and consists of 13 French and Swiss resorts. With over 650 linked kilometers of skiing this is arguably the largest ski area in Europe. The town has been a ski resort since the 1920s and has been at the forefront of many of the advances in skiing technology such as ski lifts and electronic passes. Five Kilometers from Morzine is its satellite town Avorias. The first purpose built ski park in France was built in Avorias in 1964 and offers skiers to Morzine almost guaranteed snow.
Despite its size Morzine has not lost its charm as a traditional alpine village with a delightful Savoyard atmosphere. Morzine operates as a 'state of the art' ski resort, welcoming visitors with a superb range of après-ski. As well as restaurants, nightclubs, bars, shops and the local market, there are, snow scooters, ice skating and national league ice hockey matches, husky rides, cinemas, sleigh rides, swimming pools and floodlit skiing.
Being close to Lake Geneva and the city of Geneva the area is rich in historical interest and the towns of Evian, Chamonix, Annecy and Montreux are all within easy driving distance. The town itself is not just a winter resort but has all the features of an all year round town. Amenities include swimming pools, tennis courts, restaurants bars and a social itinerary which would be the envy of many much larger towns.
Morzine has hosted world class cycling events including the world downhill mountain biking championships and the Tour de France. In the summer there are over 500 km of sign posted mountain biking routes which range from the serious minded to the most docile of family runs.

The apartment is situated next to the Nyon cable car at the Eastern end of the town. Its position next to the cable car gives you direct access to the Nyon and Chamossiere ski areas from where you can ski down to Les Gets and Mont Chery or directly into Morzine. Alternatively the ski bus stops outside the apartment giving direct access to Morzine or Avorias and hence to the rest of the Portes du Soleil.
It takes between 15 and 20 minutes to walk into the center of Morzine from the apartment or you can take the ski bus which stops outside the apartment or use one of the many Taxis. The apartment has its own parking space but the cable car car park is less than 20 yards away from the from entrance.
At the bottom of the ski slope 40 meters from the apartment is the river Drance which gives the apartment the perpetual sound of running water.
Indeed the “Cascade De Nyon” one of the regions many beauty spots and the center of many of the activities in the area such as the adventure park, canyoning and the bungee jump is less than 500 meters away.
