The three bedrooms are decorated in relaxing shades, all beautifully appointed with luxury linens and towels used throughout.

The master bedroom is reached by its own staircase off the hall area and is a peaceful haven of elegance. A window seat gives a lovely view over the village and the dramatic moorland beyond.

The main staircase off the lounge leads up to two further bedrooms, one double, one twin. The double room has a pretty view over the village and a window seat. The twin room is a good size again with a lovely view.

The master bedroom has an ensuite shower room with limestone tiling and a slate floor. There is a quadrant shower and a large heated towel rail.

The main bathroom, reached from the main staircase and convenient for the other two bedrooms, is spacious and well appointed and has a shower, with glass shower screen, over the bath and heated towel rail.

Flooded with natural light, the kitchen and dining area are a delightful space for entertaining, family meals or just chilling out. The kitchen is well stocked with cutlery and crockery and has a dishwasher and a two-oven Aga with an integrated module comprising two electric ovens, one with fan, and a gas hob with four rings. A pantry off the main kitchen features a huge fridge freezer and plenty of naturally cool storage space. A separate utility room provides practical washing and drying facilities away from the main kitchen area. The dining area is a mass of windows and has beautiful views onto the garden. It’s a great place to entertain and enjoy relaxing evenings.

Featuring windows on three sides, there are lovely views wherever you look. Bookshelves provide plenty of reading material to entertain you while maps and guide books may entice you out onto one of the many glorious walks nearby.

A state-of-the-art TV and sound system provides further entertainment while a log burning stove gives a lovely traditional cottage feel to the room, and underfloor heating provides background warmth. There’s also a useful area off the main room – ideal as a reading or play area.

The garden surrounds the cottage on three sides. The entrance gate leads into a pretty flagged and gravelled area, with small pockets of flowerbeds and an original granite trough. A further gate leads into a secluded granite-walled courtyard – a real suntrap – with a garden seat and a small summerhouse.

The main garden is landscaped with steps, winding gravel paths and lawns and is a delightful area to sit and relax or entertain. Lavishly planted, it is a riot of colour in the summer with plenty of birdlife. The views across the surrounding countryside and the ancient village church are glorious.
