Description

Situated in an attractive pueblo which is terraced into the contours of the Mijas mountainside, it is designed in the old Spanish style of quaint, narrow walkways and staircases.

The bedroom is bright and attractively decorated.
It has a draped, double four poster bed, bedside tables with lamps and plenty of wardrobe/cupboard space.
Spare blankets, pillows and a small safe are inside the wardrobe.
This peaceful room has a window and a set of double-glazed "French" doors opening onto a "Juliette" balcony overlooking the plaza. (The plaza fountain switches off overnight so, even if you have the doors open, it won't disturb you.)
The curtains are lined with blackout fabric.

The bathroom is decorated in the original Pierre Cardin tiles in an attractive shade of blue. One of the tiles bears his logo whilst another carries his signature!
There is a marble vanity unit with wall lights at either side of the mirror and towels are stored in the cupboards underneath.

Fully equipped kitchen with extractor fan. This room is open plan to the living area. Plenty of crockery, pots, pans, cutlery and plastic storage tubs are supplied. * Iron & board.

Set within the smaller leg of the L shaped living room, the dining room has a lovely, antique table, circular in shape.
Four deeply carved dining chairs with padded seats tuck snugly underneath when not in use and a low lamp hangs just over the table, giving extra focus at meal times or providing part of the mood-lighting element within the whole room.
A slim sideboard hugs the dining room wall, useful as an extra nearby surface.

Living room

Light and airy, the large, L-shaped, lounge/dining area is comfortably and tastefully furnished in antique Spanish style.
Three sets of double "French" windows open onto "Juliette" balconies which overlook a pretty plaza with flowers and a fountain.
Inside there are several Spanish-style wall units/cupboards and set within the dining area of the L, is an antique dining table with four dining chairs.

The larger part of the L is dedicated to the lounge area which is furnished with two two-seater couches, coffee table, occasional tables, the fireplace and TV.

New to the property in 2010 is the addition of multi-channel TV (in English) and a smart electric stove now enhances the attractive fireplace making a superb feature as well as a practical asset.

From the living room, access to the open plan kitchen is through an arch. Both rooms benefit from a variety of suble lighting choices to suit every mood and purpose.

Decor has been carefully considered and upholstery and curtain fabrics all match.

The whole of our pueblo (nearest translation = village) is tastefully terraced into the mountainside of the Sierra de Mijas. The sandstone flagstones of the walk-ways and terracotta roof tiles, pretty in themselves are decorated with wrought iron arches, plant pots and flowers. The bright colours of beautiful bougainvillea abound.

The shared swimming pool is two levels from the apartment and sun-loungers are available for use around the pool.

Just outside the apartment is a pretty plaza with flowers and a fountain.
Modern, light-weight deckchairs are to be found in our cupboard for use in this little sun-trap, ideal for relaxing with a book or glass of wine.

Other facilities

Guests who wish to smoke are asked to do so on the balconies, not within the apartment, and to dispose of cigarette ends thoughtfully.

Other notes

No private parking space is allotted to the apartment but our pueblo has a car park at the near end - very convenient for arrival with luggage etc.
Further, on-street parking is usually available within a short distance.
