The cottages are set in a substantial stone barn complex situated around a traditional courtyard with a communal gazebo centrally situated. The barns have been beautifully and tastefully converted into self catering cottages, ideal for family gatherings or groups.
The property is set in an acre of communal lawns, parking space and a children’s play-
area which means plenty of room for relaxation, and walks can be enjoyed within the Owners’ 500 acre dairy farm. This is where milking time can sometimes be viewed by
prior arrangement.
Although rural Pengelly Farm Cottages have easy access to roads, there are sandy beaches and windswept dunes at Perranporth as well which are a short drive away along with the mellow south coast, the surfing beaches of the north coast, and the Cathedral City of Truro which are also within reach by car.
The Eden Project is also a short 20 min drive, indeed the close proximity to the A30 which means that the whole of the County is easily accessible.
All Cottages have central heating in which, Melyn, Tressa, and Korn Cottages, also have a log wood burner. All linen and towels are included in the price, although towels are not removed from the property for beach use. Children and babies are welcome, with cots, highchairs and more, provided by request; accompanied by an adult. Children can help feed the calves, see the horses, and watch the cows being miked as well.
All cottages have tiled floors on the lower level, and natural pine floors with scatter rugs on the upper levels. The Bowjy Cottage, although not built purposely for the disabled, is a single storey ground floor property with no steps, therefore is suitable for wheelchair users, or people with mobility problems. The access from the car park, is a gentle slope with non slip tiling.
The Cottages are accessed by a private drive, surrounded by substantial lawns. The drive leads to the car park adjacent to the entrance of each property. Within the lawns there are swings, slides, and plenty of room for ball games etc. Adjacent to the courtyard is a games room with table tennis, darts, pool table, and table football. Wi Fi has also been installed for the use of all cottages.
The north coast of Cornwall famous for its surf is only 15 mins drive by car, with the sleepy fishing villages of the south coast a mere 20 mins drive. Newquay on the north coast hosts a variety of beaches, perfect for families with the multitude of shops available.
There are also various golf courses nearby including Perranporth and Killiow at Truro being approx 5 miles away. Trispen village is 2 miles away and has a local shop which opens at 8am til late time with opportunity to hire DVD`s. Truro, on the other hand has supermarkets and many super restaurants and nightclubs.
In the surrounding countryside there are pubs too numerous to mention providing home produced local food. There are banking facilities in the shop at Trispen with a cash point, for additional banking facilities available at all the major banks in Truro.
Cornwall is a county full of places to visit; the beautiful natural countryside, the many historic places of interest outlining Cornwall's mining industry, to the family leisure parks. These are all to numerous to mention, however, each cottage is provided with a local information pack.
Each property has an enclosed patio area with garden furniture and BBQ. Tressa`s being a large balcony off the living area comes additionally with downstairs rooms which opens out in to the internal courtyard where another enclosed patio area is found. There is also plenty of space to spend time quietly reading alone, or to engage in some fun time with family and friends.

Repeat bookings are subject to a 10% discount.

Changeover day is Saturday. Departure is requested by 10am, arrival is requested any time after 3pm. It would be helpful to know the approx time of arrival, as we would like to personally welcome you to Pengelly Farm. Short breaks are sometimes available.
