Description
With 180 degree views of the sun drenched Mediterranean from one terrace and an additional uncovered sun terrace overlooking the Port and up to Duquesa Golf you have the added advantage of having the sun for most of the day.
Duquesa is a picturesque marina which. as well as full boating services. has a multitude of bars and restaurants. West of Duquesa is Duquesa Castillio, a small village which has some fantastic fish restaurants, East is Sabinillas, a growing town which also has its roots steeped in fishing. The local fisherman can been seen early on a morning bringing in their catch which they sell to the local restaurants. Throughout the year you will find many local and national fiestas being held here, a famous one being el noche de san juan - the night of saint John. where they burn wooden creations and run into the sea aqt midnight. They look to San Juan to bring good fortune for the fishing. The area is known for its blue flag beaches and there are many to explore in the area, however, a ride inland and you will find beautiful countryside, the area is very lush during the low season. A train ride to Rhonda has fantastic scenery.

A deposit is required to secure the booking with full payment made at least 3 weeks prior to the booking. A security damage deposit is required which is refundable.

Behind the port lies an 18 hole golf course (Duquesa Golf), designed by Robert Trent Jones Sr., with fabulous views of the Mediterranean, Gibraltar and Africa. Sabinillas is a 5 minute walk from the apartment in the other direction. It is an authentic Spanish fishing village with a traditional selection of shops, bars and restaurants. Here you can witness the daily catch of the local fisherman as they bring their boats up the beach, or simply stroll along the pretty promenade, mingling with the locals and choosing in which restaurant to have lunch! A market is held here twice weekly and attracts visitors from far and wide. Sabinillas has a wonderful sandy beach which is never crowded, and affords views towards Gibraltar and on a clear day, Africa. For golfers, there are 60 courses on this coast including Valderrama (15 min drive), the venue of the 1997 Ryder Cup, San Roque and Sotogrande (15 min drive).
