Overlooking the sea, Villa Danae is the perfect setting for the ultimate laid back holiday in the sun with your friends and family.

Designed by architect Konstantinos Korakakis, the villa provides quality accommodation both inside and out, in a style sympathetic to its surroundings

The lounge, kitchen and dining areas are replicated outside around the inviting private swimming pool, surrounded by a terrace with sun beds and settees for lazy days in the sun and evenings under the stars.

The finishing touch is provided by the purpose built BBQ where the men can prove their culinary skills!

The well appointed lounge extends onto a patio with further comfortable seating

There is a double (king size) ensuite bedroom on the ground floor, ideal for older guests or those with disability, complete with grab handles and wide doors for wheelchair access.

The whole ground floor has been designed to facilitate older or disabled guests with ramps enabling access all round the ground floor inside and out.

Upstairs you will find another two double (king size) en suite bedrooms and two twins with house bathroom all with private balconies. The twin beds can be joined to make further king size beds - the villa will accommodate eleven assuming one is a baby in a cot, otherwise ten

And for all you sun worshippers and stargazers, there's the roof terrace

Air conditioning is provided in the lounge, dining room and all bedrooms

There is a cot and high chair; let us know if you need more than one

If you've had enough sunshine, the lounge has a music system (iPod, mp3, cd, radio) and a 42" television with DVD player, Wii and Playstation3 (bring your own games!)

Villa Danae is ideal for an extended family group, two families sharing or for four to five couples

“A wonderful experience I hope to repeat one day!”
The villa is welcoming, comfortable, spacious, light, airy, and extremely well appointed and beautifully furnished everywhere. The kitchen and dining/BBQ areas want for nothing. Wall to wall sun for almost two weeks helped. Lovely pool, variety of outside areas, both in and out of the sun and super views. Plenty of useful information, maps, books and DVD's in the villa. The owners seem to have thought of everything. Makrigialos is a delightful little village with a great variety of good restaurants, pastry shop, bars and beaches with shade. The locals made us very welcome. Interesting countryside, bays and beaches. Plenty for everyone to do whether lounging by the pool or wandering through gorges, coastal towns and Cretan villages. Super!!

“Stunning villa, view, location, people, food ...everything stunning” - July 2011
We stayed for 10 days and felt at home from the minute we arrived & well looked after by Anja. Thanks to Steve & Kay the villa has EVERYTHING you could need!! Cannot fault it! The pictures are beautiful... but the reality is even better! There were 6 people in our party and not once did we feel under each others feet.
The area is VERY quiet (which is just what we wanted), a car is much needed if you want to explore, sight see and get away from the more popular beaches (which were still quiet)... it's a fair walk to local shops in 34degree heat!
When not lounging by the pool we found beautiful quiet coves, explored monasteries & had a lovely dinner at the Dragons Cave restaurant and even had the a local chef come and cook us a meal in our villa. Recommend the trip to Chrisi Island.... the golden beach is AMAZING!

"Fabulous"
It was the most fantastic villa, just the right size for us (10), with 5 double bedrooms (3 en suite). The pool was great, and the outside furniture particularly good. Views tremendous. The beach at Makrygialos is perfect for teenagers with excellent watersports (€20 for jet skiing, compared to the 50 we paid in Malta earlier in the year). Not too crowded – always sun beds available, soft sand, mild surf and sea not too deep or too shallow. Tavernas on the beach serving food and drinks. Our every days were so good no one could be bothered to go on any trips!
