Description
This fully restored traditional farmhouse is in the hills above Lake Grazie and the historic town of Tolentino. It is a ten minute drive from the town and lies midway between the beautiful Adriatic coast and the Sibillini Mountains. The house sits in its own acre of land with fine views across rolling farmland with olive and fruit trees providing a natural boundary at the rear.
Podere dei Tordi (The Farm of the Song thrush) lies on the edge of the Sibillini National Park and offers opportunities for walking, cycling, and horse riding while the nearby Lago Grazie has fishing, eating places and the occasional fiesta and live music. There are also numerous attractions within the area including the Strada de vino wine trail which is on the doorstop and takes guests to the source of the renowned Vernaccia wine of Serrapetrona, Opera Festival every summer from mid July to August at the Macerata, the first century Roman remains at Urbs Salvia that is an important archaeological site with an amphitheater as well as the historical renaissance capital of Urbino.
The area also provides a wide variety of activities for all the guests with beaches at Civitanova Marche that gives a wealth of fish restaurants and bars. This coast also offers tourist facilities, where guests can practice water sports such as sailing, windsurfing, kite surfing or to just relax and enjoy the sun. This coast also benefits from a number of interesting resorts within easy reach from the cliffs and coves of the Conero peninsula in the north to the palm strewn beaches of S. Benedetto del Tronto in the south.
Aside from beaches, this place too has fantastic ski areas giving guests the opportunity to do some skiing away from the crowd with low ski pass prices at the snow covered Sibillini Mountains in winter and the nearest ski resort at Sassotetto near Sarnano
It has been restored with all modern amenities whilst retaining the traditional Marchigiani style. There is a large private swimming pool with sun beds and parasols. The large terrace sheltered by a pergola is ideal for dining alfresco and is equipped with table seating up to 10 people.
Podere dei Tordi inside is fully-equipped with amazing facilities including the exclusive use of the large swimming pool, surrounding sun terrace equipped with sun beds and parasols wherein this large terrace is covered by pergola with a table and chairs that can seat up to ten very ideal for dining out plus it offers uninterrupted views over the valley. There is also a pizza oven and barbecue. While on the upper terrace is a table and chairs ideal for breakfast or a quite break.

Directions
The nearest Airport is Ancona and is less than an hour drive to the house. Alternative airports are Pescara (1.5 hours) and Bologna (3 hours) and Rimini/ Forli (2 hours) Rome (3 hours) All 5 airports are served by low cost airlines Ryanair and Easyjet and all have car hire services. Civitanova provides access to main rail links should you wish to travel further afield and the port of Ancona has ferries to Greece and Croatia.
Tolentino is 10 minutes by car. Civitanova 30 minutes by car. Sibillini mountains 30 minutes by car. Bologna 2 hours. Rome 3 hours.
