Blegos Chalet Slovenia is located in a magnificent position overlooking the Poljane valley and the foothills of the Julian Alps 20 mins east of the beautiful medieval town of Skofja Loka and offering magnificent stress relieving views of the foothills of the Julian Alps! The nearest facilities (shops / bars / restaurants) are in a small town 10 minutes drive from the chalet in the small town of Gorenja Vas. Cerkno town is circa 15 kilometres away offers a variety of shops bars, restaurants and other facilities including swimming pool and skiing at Cerkno resort, a few kilometres out of the town, offering Slovenia's most modern lift infrastructure and great beginner - intermediate skiing. In the other direction (20 mins drive) is the beautiful historic medieval town of Skofja Loka with its imposing castle and winding old streets and beautiful architecture. Between the house and Skofja Loka is the Stari Vrh ski resort which offers the longest night skiiing piste in Slovenia and decent beginner - intermediate skiing with lovely views of the Julian Alps and Karavanke mountains. Further skiing at Krvavec & Soriska Planina are circa 45 mins drive away. There is a huge range of Summer outdoor activities possible in this beautiful subalpine area - from fly fishing to mountain biking, hiking to kayaking including fantastic one day hikes to the peak of Blegos mountain, from where the Chalet takes its name. There are excellent day trip possibilities to Slovenia's pretty capital Ljubljana (45 minutes drive) and world famous Lake Bled (45 minutes drive).
Wonderful chalet sleeping up to 12 people with fabulous views over the foothills of the Slovenian Julian Alps from terrace, garden and many of the rooms. Blegos Chalet offers high quality accommodation with bathroom, large kitchen-dining room, small double bedroom & living room with sofabed on the ground floor. The kitchen has access onto a beautiful terrace with outdoor table & barbecue area & lovely garden overlooking the views. On the 1st floor is the main living room with single sofabed, double bedroom with ensuite bathroom & 2 single bedrooms. There is a flat screen TV, DVD player, satellite TV & internet. 'The Barn' studio apartment rests on the upper level of the adjoining building and provides sleeping space for 3 with a double sofa bed and single fold out bed. Here you will also find a small kitchen-dining area, bathroom and balcony. The area offers excellent potential for outdoor activities such as walking & mountain biking in Summer, swimming/spa facilities in nearby Cerkno.
