Description

A beautifully restored and luxuriously furnished Manor House (previously a Hotel) set in 2 acres of walled gardens with stunning views, deep in the green heart of the Limousin region in the Correze, "the Department of Nature."

The Manor house consists of 3 family apartments that can each accomodate 4 or 5 persons. Each apartment has an en-suite bathroom and small kitchen for light snacks. In addition there are three double bedrooms each with an en-suite bathroom.

The ground floor consists of two reception areas including a large lounge with decorative ceilings and windows, perfect for family gatherings. There is also a large fully equipped kitchen.

In the gardens there is Mini golf, a childrens play area with outdoor games, and a substantial children's swimming pool.

The Manor house is located on the edge of the beautiful and peaceful villages of La Roche Canillac and La Roche Basse which tumble down the wooded gorges of La Doustre, a tributary of the Dordogne River. Enjoy this natural and unspoilt region of woods, rivers, lakes and traditional Correze stone cottages.

The immediate area is ideal for walking, cycling, fishing, swimming, or just relaxing in the gardens or by the lake. There are many opportunities for water and land based outdoor activities in the surrounding areas run by qualified instructors including kayaking/canoeing, fishing, mountain biking and orienteering. The picturesque surrounding towns and villages are blessed with numerous auberges, restaurants and markets. We are equidistant between the towns of Argentat sur Dordogne and Tulle.

By car heading south from Paris come off the A20 after Limoges at J 46.1 and leave the A89 at J21 for Tulle Est. Then follow signs for Argentat/Aurillac to get you on the N120. Turn left off this road for La Roche Canillac. Our village. Look for the Gites de France logo when you arrive at the village.
