Description

Situated in a quiet hamlet near the town of Chéronnac, this recently restored typical French farmhouse boasts a self contained gîte, and spacious main house. The gite is available throughout the year and the main house during the summer months at prices that are very reasonable.

The main house boasts superb self-catering holiday accommodation with three bedrooms and two spacious reception rooms consisting of an entrance/dining area, a large sitting room, big fitted kitchen and utility room with washing machine and dishwasher.

The Entrance hall/dining area is a rectangular shaped (29 sq.m/312 sq.ft) with wooden staircase leading to the bedrooms and bathroom. Large French doors to the garden. The floor is traditional "tomette" tiles with a large rug. Big solid refectory table with wooden bench seating.

Sitting room is also rectangular shaped (29 sq.m/312 sq.ft) with three piece suite, TV and DVD player. French doors to the patio area to the side of the house. The floor is also traditional "tomette" tiles with large rugs.

Large rectangular kitchen (22 sq.m/236 sq.ft) with fitted units and gas oven and hob. Fridge/freezer. The floor is wood and there is a door to the outside.

Upstairs there is a bathroom with shower, one bedroom with two single beds, one single bedroom and the master bedroom with double bed and an attractive wood panelled sloping ceiling. Heating is available through electric radiators.

Directions

The Limousin area of France is easily accessible either by car, train or by plane.

Air:
Frequent flights are available to the three airports serving the region.
Limoges airport is around 29 miles from the house. Ryanair has a daily flight from London Stanstead airport. From 20/05/04 Flybe will also be offering a daily service from Southampton airport. Hertz car rental have a special rate if you book trough Ryanair.

The other airports are Poitiers (68 miles) and Angoulême (35 miles).

Car:
Eurotunnel, with it's fast crossing time of only 35 minutes, must surely be a preferred method of getting across the channel. There are 4 trains per hour, 24 hours a day every day.
Once in Calais, your end destination is only 460 miles away (8 hrs.).
