The lodge is situated within a secluded half acre plot offering unlimited opportunities for exploration, outdoor leisure pursuits and calm relaxation.
There is ample parking accommodated around the circular driveway. The spacious balcony area surrounds the property commanding enchanting views across the local picturesque tributary river. The balcony has BBQ facilities and seating.
The lodge is heated throughout with individual temperature control in each room. The efficiency of the heating system together with the high specification log construction makes the lodge a warm and homey retreat even in the depths of winter. In addition, the lounge dining area features a beautiful open log fire.
Coast/Beach
Lodge residents enjoy the luxury of private access to the river that runs beside the property into Lac Superieur. There are numerous other lakes in the region which have small, pleasant beaches offering safe, accessible and enjoyable swimming. These include the beautifully scenic locations in Mont Tremblant National Park just a short drive away.
Golf
In close proximity to the ski-lodge you will find several award-winning golf courses open between May and October. All are situated within the most dramatic local landscape and comand exceptional views of the area. Offering a range of challenges for golfers of all levels (some run golfing academies for those looking to improve their game), they are reasonably priced and provide easy club and kart hire to make this area a compelling choice for the keen golfer.
Le Maitre is a new course designed by golfing legend Fred Couples.
Golf la Bete and Golf la Belle are twin courses offering contrasting challenges and pleasures.
La Diable and Le Geant are public course of championship standard.
Golf Royal Laurentein and Golf Le Manitou are renowned local courses with genuine character.
Skiing
The ski-lodge is just a short drive (15 mins) from the north side of Mont Tremblant. This world-renowned resort run by Intrawest was voted the best in North East America and boasts a network of 94 runs suitable for all abilities over 660 acres. The resort also offers an extensive snow park with 18 acres of ramps and rails and a 130 meter half pipe.
The 13 lift system transports up to 27,000 skiers every hour to the north side, and over the mountain tops, to the slopes on the south side. Ski shops and hire outlets are plentiful & situated on both the north and south side tourist villages.
Other ski areas in the vicinity including Gray Rocks which has an excellent reputation for teaching beginners, and Mont Blanc, the 2nd largest mountain in Quebec after Tremblant. Night skiing at Mont St Sauveur is situated on the road to Montreal.
As an alternative to Alpine skiing, extensive cross country trails, dog-sledding, snowmobiling, snow shoeing, ice climbing and tubing are also available.
