Description

Chalet Genepi has 3 bedrooms on the lower ground floor and three bedrooms on the upper floor. All of which have their own en-suite or private facilities.

Genepi sits between our two other chalets and offers the same benefits of being close to pistes, shops and bars/restaurants - you are only 3 minutes away from them all!

For this coming season the owner is extending the lounge area so that there will be ample comfortable seating for everyone. Here you can enjoy watching a DVD or listening to a favourite tune on our music system, or why not snuggle up in front of the fireplace and relax with a glass of wine, or simply enjoy the company of your fellow guests.

Also new for next season the owner is investing in new dining room chairs for extra comfort making this the perfect place for your delicious evening meals.

Ski Soleil is an independent tour operator that is managed and run by Derek and Kathrine.

We started off in the ski industry as chalet hosts and loved it so much that we decided to stay! Now into our 8th season as Ski Soleil we can certainly say that we have experience and knowledge to provide our guests with a fantastic holiday.

We live locally and have spent time building and developing relations with local businesses to ensure that you get quality services and fantastic value for money. Chambery: the closest airport to La Plagne, only an hour away.
Lyon: a major French airport. Transfer time approx 2.25 hours.
Grenoble: a smaller local aiport. Transfer time approx 2,25 hours.
Geneva: over the Swiss border. Transfer time approx 2,25 hours.
You could also consider Milan - only two and half hours away.

Once you have your flights then you need to consider how to get to resort. These are the options:

We have our own minibus and can offer a transfer service to our clients. Please send us an email for details as prices reflect the airport and the number of people being transported. For the 2009 - 2010 our catered chalet prices include transfers to and from Geneva - please speak to us before confirming your flights.
By bus: there is a bus service run from each of the airports, here are the details:

By car: if there are more than three of you the cheapest option could be hiring a car. please contact the owner for maps and details of how to reach each of our accommodations.

By a transfer agent: over the past few seasons we have been working with the Cool Bus.

Transfers:
Included in the prices for catered chalet holidays is a transfer from one of the following:

Geneva airport
Chambery Airport
Bourg St Maurice train station

We have two minibuses: 1 x 12 seater to be used for Chalet Genepi guests and 1 x 8 seater to be used for Chanterelle and Zibeline guests.

To ensure that all guests can benefit from this complimentary service, we ask that before booking your flights you check arrival and departure times with us.

Previous experience has shown that if you look to book flights:

To arrive after 11.30am and before 3.00pm
To depart after midday

then there is little or no waiting at airports for any of our clients.

Our aim is to leave resort no later than 8.00am (30 mins earlier during the school holidays) to drop people off at Geneva by 10.30am. This allows plenty of time to check-in for a midday flight. Obviously if you are a one party booking then we can depart resort much earlier if you require.

If you are staying in a chalet with other guests that do not belong to your party we may ask that you wait while the other clients arrive. We will keep this to a minimum where possible and always try to ensure that flights arrive at similar times.

We are able to provide baby seats and booster seats but please feel free to bring your own. Most airlines do not charge extra for these.

NOTE: If you are looking to book flights to Lyon then please ask beforehand. We cannot guarantee a transfer and there might also be an extra charge.
