Description
Catered Chalet Chanterelle has four twin bedrooms. it offers excellent accommodation for a group of friends or one or two families. Situated just above the village centre there are lovely views over the resort to the mountains and valley beyond.
A short 300m walk from the chalet allows access to the slopes and the Plagne 1800 chairlift; in normal snow conditions it is possible to ski back to this point. In the other direction, another 300m walk brings you to the free shuttle bus stops to Plagne Centre and Plagne Bellecote allowing an alternative access to the slopes and opening up a much wider choice of shops, bars and restaurants.
After a “hard” day on the slopes relax in the comfortable leather lounge suite and watch the flames flicker in the stove. Or why not play one of the games that we have provided for your comfort, or for those that cannot do without there is a tv/dvd player.
Chanterelle would not disappoint you - we love it and so do our guests!
Ski Soleil is an independent tour operator that is managed and run by Derek and Kathrine.
We started off in the ski industry as chalet hosts and loved it so much that we decided to stay! Now into our 8th season as Ski Soleil we can certainly say that we have experience and knowledge to provide our guests with a fantastic holiday.
We live locally and have spent time building and developing relations with local businesses to ensure that you get quality services and fantastic value for money. Not only that but being on hand means that we can personally deal with any queries or problems that might arise that our staff cannot answer.

If you are planning to fly out then here is a list of airports that you could consider flying in to:
Chambery: the closest airport to La Plagne, only an hour away.
Lyon: a major French airport. Transfer time approx 2.25 hours.
Grenoble: a smaller local aiport. Transfer time approx 2,25 hours.
Geneva: over the Swiss border. Transfer time approx 2.25 hours.
You could also consider Milan - only two and half hours away.

Once you have your flights then you need to consider how to get to resort. These are the options:
We have our own minibus and can offer a transfer service to our clients. Please send us an email for details as prices reflect the airport and the number of people being transported. For the 2009 - 2010 our catered chalet prices include transfers to and from Geneva - please speak to us before confirming your flights.
By bus: there is a bus service run from each of the airports, here are the details:

We have two minibuses: 1 x 12 seater to be used for Chalet Genepi guests and 1 x 8 seater to be used for Chanterelle and Zibeline guests.
To ensure that all guests can benefit from this complimentary service, we ask that before booking your flights you check arrival and departure times with us.
Previous experience has shown that if you look to book flights:
To arrive after 11.30am and before 3.00pm
To depart after midday
then there is little or no waiting at airports for any of our clients.
Our aim is to leave resort no later than 8.00am (30 mins earlier during the school holidays) to drop people off at Geneva by 10.30am. This allows plenty of time to check-in for a midday flight. Obviously if you are a one party booking then we can depart resort much earlier if you require.
If you are staying in a chalet with other guests that do not belong to your party we may ask that you wait while the other clients arrive. We will keep this to a minimum where possible and always try to ensure that flights arrive at similar times.
We are able to provide baby seats and booster seats but please feel free to bring your own. Most airlines do not charge extra for these.
NOTE: If you are looking to book flights to Lyon then please ask beforehand. We cannot guarantee a transfer and there might also be an extra charge.
