Description

Chalet En-Piste is a ski-in, ski-out detached, stone and timber Chalet with a warm, relaxing ambience. It is perfectly positioned on the piste just above the mountain village of Les Coches, an alpine ski station, at the heart of the Paradiski area. The views from this chalet are stunning with Mont Blanc & the Alps stretching into the distance.

The village of Les Coches has an extremely friendly ambiance, there are no ugly high-rise apartment blocks, the architecture has been carefully controlled to provide a picturesque wood and stone mountain village with a car free centre.

The Chalet is truly en-piste most of the season, with easy access to the Village for ski hire, ski school meeting points, shops, bars, restaurants & the crèche. There is a small Supermarket and Boulangerie (bread shop) in the Village and an excellent Pizza takeaway, with a free delivery service, so you can order your food by phone (in English or French, a menu is in the Chalet Information brochure) which will be delivered to the Chalet and you can than settle down for a quite evening by the fire to watch that movie that you never have time to do at home!

There are many other restaurants and bars in the Village & a free bus service operates until late in the evening so you can explore the neighbouring, original farming mountain Village of Montchavin with its wonderful narrow streets, quaint bars and restaurants.

When it comes to the Skiing that is what this Chalet is all about, one chair lift up is all that is needed to ski to the link to Les Arcs.

Ski off the Chalets east-facing terrace and the nearest chair lift is only 200 metres ski away and you can ski back right to the Chalet door!

The chalet accommodation sleeps 8-10 people with 4 bedrooms consisting of:

• Shower room, hand basin and wc

First Floor

• Cosy lounge/dining room

• Double Sofa Bed

Second Floor

• Bedroom 3 : double bedroom

• Bedroom 4 : twin bedroom

• Bathroom, bath fitted with Shower screen and wc

This Chalet is privately owned. Ideal for families and young mixed adult groups.

The Kitchen has a full size Cooker, Dishwasher, Fridge/Freezer, Microwave.

The Chalet has an fully secure outside Ski Locker, fitted Ski boot room with external door on the ground floor and code locks are fitted to all outside doors – so no more lost keys!

There is free parking in the road just below the chalet.

We supply all the bed linen and towels. It is a good idea to bring slippers or indoor shoes. Please note this is a non-smoking chalet, however you are welcome to smoke on the terrace outside. Sorry no pets allowed.

Local leisure activities	The Paradiski area (420kms of piste) has something for everybody. For beginners there are two local areas specifically designed for you in Les Coches with nursery slopes separated from, but next to, one of the tree lined runs, which leads back to the chalet. A network of snow cannons on the lower slopes ensures that you will normally be able to ski back home. The wide blues and reds of the Paradiski area are perfect for intermediates and the blacks on the Bellcôte Glacier and Aiguille Rouge are testing enough for any advanced skier or boarder. The famous off-piste route down the North Face of the Bellcôte Peak is well worth experiencing - you will need a qualified guide to show the way, we can vouch for the fact that it is awesome. This is a great area for boarders, beginners and experts alike. There are some fantastic cruisy blues to get you started, a great off-piste playground, half pipe, board parks and boarder cross. Directions

FROM ALBERTVILLE
Keep left at Moutiers and follow the signs for the "Haute Tarentaise" (Aime & Bourg-St-Maurice). Go through the tunnel and pass Aime continuing towards BSM. 6km after Aime take the right turning signposted Landry. Go right at the cross roads in Landry and follow the signs for Montchavin-Les Coches. Continue for about 500m and then turn left onto the D225.Continue up the mountain. You will pass the village of Montorlin and the Dechetterie on the following bend. Now you are arriving in Montchavin. On the bend is a left turn with a bus parking area on your left. Continue on the main road and after 50m turn left and continue left. Turn right at the Hotel Bellcote and follow the road, take the first left (by some garages) and the chalet is about 50m on the right. If you see end up outside the Pharmacy then you have gone too far! Once all luggage has been taken to the chalet any cars will need to parked somewhere in the village. There is no private parking with this chalet.

It is law to have chains in case of snow & ice on the road.
